Es impresionante cómo cada día el arte hace de mi vida una experiencia distinta que vale la pena ser experimentada.

Les cuento que sigo experimentando con la técnica del raspado, cada vez puedo entender mejor como hacerlo, sobre todo porque cuando se trata de sombras se me hace un tanto difícil determinar que va en negro y qué va en color.

It is amazing how every day art makes my life a different experience that is worth to be experienced.

I tell you that I am still experimenting with the scraping technique, each time I can better understand how to do it, especially because when it comes to shadows I find it a little difficult to determine what goes in black and what goes in color.

Esta vez decidí hacer un autorretrato, había convertido una foto donde salgo con mi guitarra en blanco y negro, y me gustó la idea de recrearla en mi blog de raspado en tonos negro y dorado.

This time I decided to make a self-portrait, I had converted a photo where I go out with my guitar in black and white, and I liked the idea of recreating it in my scraping blog in black and gold tones.

Como siempre comencé buscando mis materiales, el block con fondo negro , el lápiz de raspado que un palillo de madera con punta fina y un punzón más fino que me ayuda a delinear.

Lo primero que hice fue dibujar la imágen de mi fotografía en una hoja en blanco para hacer un boceto o molde y pasar la silueta principal al block.
Debo recordar que está técnica es muy delicada en el sentido de que no puedes equivocarte, si lo haces no hay vuelta atrás y deberás comenzar en otra hoja nueva.

Así que con el punzón de metal hice la línea de la figura y a partir de allí comencé a raspar para lograr el arte.

As always I started looking for my materials, the pad with a black background, the scratch pencil, a wooden stick with a fine tip and a thinner punch that helps me to outline.

The first thing I did was to draw the image of my photograph on a blank sheet of paper to make a sketch or mold and transfer the main silhouette to the block.

I must remember that this technique is very delicate in the sense that you can't make a mistake, if you do there is no way back and you will have to start on a new sheet.

So with the metal punch I made the line of the figure and from there I began to scrape to achieve the art.

Luego de ir haciendo los detalles internos, haciendo uso de una brocha iba barriendo por así decirlo los residuos que salen al raspar la pintura negra, luego las zonas más amplias las fuí descubriendo con el palillo de madera.

After making the internal details, using a brush I was sweeping, so to speak, the residues that come out when scraping the black paint, then I was uncovering the larger areas with the wooden stick.

Con mucho cuidado y mucha paciencia fuí descubriendo todo lo que debía ser dorado en el arte, cuidando no equivocarme con las sombras, tuve que ver muchas veces y entender como hacer las líneas negras ya que es cómo dibujar al revés.

With a lot of care and patience I was discovering everything that should be golden in the art, taking care not to make mistakes with the shadows, I had to see many times and understand how to make the black lines since it is like drawing upside down.

De esta manera quedó terminado el arte, en vivo el papel dorado brilla mucho más, algo que traté de mostrar en el gif del inicio, me encantó como se ve y poder realizar una obra con esta técnica que es totalmente diferente.
