This painting contains a particular and very personal story.
To generate some context, I will tell you that this painting was part of a new language without the use of S.P.A (psychoactive substances). In 2009 he entered a rehabilitation process in Claret homes in Venezuela, he had hit rock bottom after 12 years of use and abuse of all kinds of substances, repainting without these ingredients was like learning to do everything again, because the perceptual alterations were no longer present, and therefore the plastic language and perception change.
This painting was made with acrylic on canvas, and as it is evident when handling an expressionist tendency, the title of the work is essential to understand it, "8 seconds" is how long it takes for the crack to take effect (it is worth mentioning that it was my drug of greatest impact) in 8 seconds the world ceases to be a world and becomes a hell, despite the fact that this substance generates instantaneous bridges in the pleasure receptors of the brain, it is also true that the level of paranoia and panic that it produces is not compares to the effect of other SPA and in just 8 seconds everything changes ...

Este cuadro encierra una historia particular y muy personal.
Para generar algo de contexto les cuento que este cuadro fue parte de un nuevo lenguaje sin el uso de S.P.A (sustancias psicoactivas). En el año 2009 ingreso a un proceso de rehabilitación en hogares Claret de Venezuela, venia de tocar fondo luego de 12 años de uso y abuso de todo tipo de sustancias, volver a pintar sin estos ingredientes fue como aprender a hacer todo de nuevo, pues ya las alteraciones perceptivas no estaban presentes, y por lo tanto el lenguaje plástico y percepción cambian.
Este cuadro fue realizado con acrílico sobre lienzo , y como es evidente manejando una tendencia expresionista, el titulo de la obra es fundamental para comprender la misma, “ 8 segundos “ es lo que tarda el crack en hacer efecto ( vale mencionar que fue mi droga de mayor impacto) en 8 segundos el mundo deja de ser mundo y se vuelve un infierno , a pesar de que esa sustancia genera puentes instantáneos en los receptores de placer del cerebro, también es cierto que el nivel de paranoia y pánico que produce no se compara al efecto de otras S.P.A. y en tan solo 8 segundos todo cambia…
