I made this painting this summer for my personal exhibition at Oratorio S.Rocco in Torre di Palme. A splendid medieval village overlooking the sea in province of Fermo in the Marche region.
Ho realizzato questo dipinto per la mostra personale che ho realizzato quest'estate presso l'Oratorio S.Rocco di Torre di Palme. Un bellissimo borgo medievale a picco sul mare in provincia di Fermo nelle Marche.
"In the name of the Mother" was the title of exhibition, dedicated to the female gender as woman, mother, goddess and Mother Earth.
The exhibition was conceived as all-female path, that goes from marriage to motherhood to spirituality with women-goddesses up to Mother Earth.
A path made up of paintings and metal installations, assembly, textile installations for the end with to the center room a big installation that represent the Mother Earth.
"Nel nome della Madre" era il titolo della mostra, dedicato al genere femminile vista come donna, madre, dea e Madre Terra.
La mostra è stata pensata come un percorso, tutto al femminile che parla del matrimonio, della maternità, spiritualità con le donne Dee fino alla rappresentazione della Madre Terra. Un percorso formato da dipinti ed istallazioni metalliche, assemblaggi, istallazioni tessili con al centro una grande istallazione che rappresenta la Madre Terra.
The Mother in all her forms is the theme of the exhibition.
La Madre in tutte le sue forme è il tema della mostra.
I made this picture with acrylic colors, fabrics, raffia applications, polystyrene balls, beads on canvas.
It is the main painting of the exhibition, with which I expressed motherhood. A black mother holding her baby.
You may be wondering, why a black mother?
Ho realizzato questo lavoro con colori acrilici, tessuti, applicazioni in rafia, palle di polistirolo, perline su tela. È il dipinto principale della mostra, con il quale ho espresso la maternità. Una madre nera che tiene in braccio il suo bambino.
Forse ti starai chiedendo, perchè una madre nera?
I think they are very brave women who have faced and still face dangerous journeys to find themselves in an unknown and sometimes hostile country, fueled by the hope of a better future for their children.
Penso che siano donne molto coraggiose che hanno affrontato e affrontano tuttora viaggi pericolosi per ritrovarsi in un paese sconosciuto e talvolta ostile nei loro confronti, alimentate dalla speranza di un futuro migliore per i propri figli.
The exhibition was very successful, I was very satisfied and happy with its outcome and this painting was greatly appreciated, I hope you like it too!!!
