Hello everyone,
Hope everyone is doing well. Here is my new fan art for Splinterlands Art Contest Week 317. But first, a big shout out to all the artists who participated in the previous contest. The creativity in this community pushes me to experiment and improve, and it's incredible to see different styles and unique perspectives every week. Congratulations to the winners of week 316—you all did an amazing work.
This time, I decided to make a fan art featuring Nerissa Tridawn. I try to capture her energy, elegance and mystery in a way that feels fresh and dynamic. My goal was to present him not just as a warrior, but as a mythical, almost otherworldly figure whose presence exuded magic and power.
Concept When I started working on Nerissa Tridawn, I knew I wanted to go beyond a simple portrait. My vision was to picture him surrounded by a swirling, magical aura as if he was emanating energy from the depths of the portal.
Using Adobe Illustrator, I started with a rough sketch to capture her strong stance and graceful expression. Once the foundational lines were in place, I moved on to inking, focusing on giving his armor and trident a bold, stylized look. The trident, an extension of his powers, was particularly important in this part; I wanted to see it as a beacon of power and control.
Unique Touch To add more personality, I carefully crafted her expression—she's calm, confident, yet undeniably strong. I worked to make the details of his armor and the decorations on his trident visually appealing. By focusing on these elements, I aim to make this portrait of Nerissa Tridawn feel like a balance of elegance and raw power, a visual story of a hero who commands respect and awe.
I've also shared some work-in-progress snapshots, so you can see how the piece evolved from sketch to final artwork. I'm excited to hear from all of you, and I'd love any feedback on how to improve or suggestions for future pieces. Thanks everyone and good luck to all of this week's artists.
