¡Saludos amigos! Para esta edición del concurso semanal de arte de splinterlands he decidido hacer un fan art inspirado en: Possessed Puppet
Since we are in the month of terror, halloween month, I decided to go for a somewhat disturbing character and possesed puppet fits perfectly for this opportunity.
So moving away from pixel art and going out of the routine, I made this common illustration, which has left me fascinated.
My version of Possessed Puppet is represented by the semi-realistic face of a girl, which has half of her face fragmented into several pieces, besides having one eye protruding from her face, while the other eye is only composed of a dark and empty socket, also has a macabre smile, from which protrude some sharp and terrifying teeth.
En vista de que estamos en el mes del terror, mes de halloween he decidido inclinarme por un personaje algo perturbador y possesed puppet encaja perfectamente para esta oportunidad.
Asi que alejandome un poco del pixel art y saliendo un poco de la rutina, hice esta ilustracion común, la cual me ha dejado fascinada.
Mi version de Possessed Puppet está representada por el rostro semirealista de una chica, la cual posee la mitad de su rostro fragmentado en varios pedazos, ademas de tener un ojo que sobresale de su rostro, mientras el otro ojo solo esta compuesto por una cuenca oscura y vacia, tambien posee una sonrisa macabra, de la cual sobresalen unos dientes afilados y aterradores.
As for the drawing process I started with the creation of the sketch, a sketch which was not very developed, nor very clean, I just did something simple, inspired by the common face of a girl, to which I gradually added the details of the character in question.
En cuanto al proceso de dibujo inicio con la creación del boceto, un boceto el cual no fué muy desarrollado, ni muy limpio, simplemente hice algo sencillo, inspirandome en el rostro comun de una chica, a la cual poco a poco le fui agregando los detalles propios del personaje en cuestión.
Once I had the whole character design done, I continued with the coloring process and as always, I usually work in parts, so first of all my main focus was the face. I added the base color and little by little I was defining the shapes of the face by applying the shading and lighting, I used the watercolor blending brush, which helped me a lot when blurring and blending colors, besides using the color palette of the original character and some variations of them.
Una vez que ya tenia hecho todo el diseño del personaje, prosegui con el proceso de coloreado y como siempre, suelo trabajarlo por partes, asi que primero que nada mi objetivo principal fué el rostro. Agregué la base de color y poco a poco fui definiendo las formas del rostro mediante la aplicación del sombreado y la iluminación, usé el pincel de acuarela de mezcla, el cual me ayudó mucho a la hora de difuminar y hacer la fusión de colores, ademas de usar la paleta de colores del personaje original y algunas variaciones de los mismos.
Then I continued with the coloring of the protruding eye and the teeth, thus completing the coloring of the entire face.
Luego continué con el coloreado del ojo sobresaliente y los dientes, completando asi el coloreado del rostro en su totalidad.
The next step was to color the hair, to which I added a base color and on top some layers of very thin lines of different shades of colors, in order to simulate a somewhat realistic hair.
Lo siguiente fué colorear el cabello, al cual le agregue una base de color igualmente y por encima algunas capas de lineas muy finas de diferente tonalidades de colores, con el objetivo de simular una cabellera un poco realista.
Leaving last the coloring of the clothes and the background, to which I only limited myself to paint it in one color.
Dejando de ultimo lugar el coloreado de la ropa y el fondo, al cual solo me límité a pintarlo de un solo color.
