Los que me conocen saben que siempre me suceden cosas muy curiosas, en serio, tengo montones de historias “locas” para contar y esta en particular sucedió hace unas noches, como de costumbre, vine a la sala que es el lugar donde paso más tiempo, escribiendo, dibujando, entre otras cosas y como ya era un poco tarde, fui a la cocina para asegurarme de que todo estuviera en su lugar.

Desde la cocina, se puede ver un poco la pared del patio, que está junto a la reja, pues se escapa la luz a través de la reja y allí estaba ¡una tarántula! No es que tenga algo personal contra las tarántulas, pero como no estoy habituada a verlas sí me asusté, sobre todo porque Luna (mi perrita) duerme en el patio y ella caza todo lo que ve y como no tenía ningún conocimiento sobre este animalito, me dio miedo lo que pudiese suceder si se encontraban. Tracé todo un plan con mi familia, yo saldría al patio y cargaría a Luna antes de que se enterara que algo sucedía y mi hermano se encargaría de la tarántula, peluda y negra.

Para el boceto usé un par de lápices de grafito, uno más claro para hacer la base del dibujo y el más oscuro para las líneas del dibujo definitivo. Le tomé una foto y la importé a Ibis Paint X en mi celular, creé una capa y con el pincel tipo pluma en color negro hice todo el line art.

For the sketch I used a couple of graphite pencils, a lighter one to make the base of the drawing and the darker one for the lines of the final drawing. I took a picture and imported it to Ibis Paint X on my cell phone, created a layer and with the black pen brush I did all the line art.
Sombras / Shades
En una siguiente capa añadí los colores con la herramienta de relleno. En este caso, me gustó usar un tono para piel un poco más de fantasía, con toques un tanto lila. Para las sombras usé una capa más, esta en modo multiplicar y para las luces una capa sobre esta en modo normal, en ambos casos, empleé el pincel tipo aerógrafo, para el primero con tonos más oscuros que los de la base y para el segundo, tonos más claros.

In a next layer I added the colors with the fill tool. In this case, I liked to use a more fantasy skin tone, with touches of lilac. For the shadows I used one more layer, this one in multiply mode and for the highlights a layer over this one in normal mode, in both cases, I used the airbrush brush, for the first one with darker tones than the base and for the second one, lighter tones.
Luces / Lights
En otra capa añadí el rubor con el pincel aerógrafo en un tono rosa intenso, muy cercano al fucsia y también el labial rojo pero con el pincel tipo rotulador. La siguiente capa fue para los toques de blanco, también los hice con el pincel rotulador. Y por último, una capa debajo de todas las demás para el fondo. Al comienzo tenía mis dudas sobre el color a utilizar, pero me parece que los tonos naranja le han ido muy bien.

In another layer I added the blush with the airbrush in an intense pink tone, very close to fuchsia and also the red lipstick but with the marker brush. The next layer was for the touches of white, also with the felt tip brush. And finally, a layer under all the others for the background. At the beginning I had my doubts about the color to use, but I think the orange tones went very well.

Por cierto, no se confíen en la carita tierna de la tarántula, es una trampa, dicen que tiene ocultos los cuerpos de sus víctimas donde nadie los pueda encontrar.
