Hola Hivers, Inspirado por el trabajo de algunos colegas de la semana pasada, decidí hacer una mezcla de dos cartas comunes de tipo tierra Bramble Pixe y Nectar Queen para el concurso de esta semana.
Hi Hivers, inspired by the work of some colleagues last week, I decided to do a mix of two common earth type cards Bramble Pixe and Nectar Queen for this week's contest.
Comencé primero con el modelo base que pose y adapte para esta ilustración, quería hacer una pixe que tuviera elementos de un insecto, así que mezcle ambas cartas para poder realizar esta ilustración.
Le di una pose algo divertida dándole un par de brazos extras para completar el look de insecto y a su vez darle una postura femenina.
I started first with the base model that I posed and adapted for this illustration, I wanted to make a pixe that had elements of an insect, so I mixed both cards in order to make this illustration.
I gave her a fun pose by giving her a couple of extra arms to complete the insect look and at the same time give her a feminine stance.
Luego pase a realizar el boceto de los elementos principales del personaje, como las articulaciones, cara, antenas y alas. Como siempre todo esto en blanco y negro, ya que se ha convertido y mi método preferido hasta ahora.
Seguí añadiendo y puliendo los detalles, creando sombras y contrastes. Luego pase a trabajar en el fondo pintando una flor con sus pétalos y gotas de agua para darle una escala pequeña al personaje como de un cuento de hada.
Then I sketched the main elements of the character, such as the joints, face, antennae and wings. As always, all this in black and white, as it has become my preferred method so far.
I kept adding and polishing the details, creating shadows and contrasts. Then I went on to work on the background, painting a flower with its petals and water drops to give a small scale to the character, like from a fairy tale.
Al tener en su mayoría lo que deseaba ya casi terminado, comencé el proceso de coloreado y esta vez use un tono verde opaco en una capa con poca opacidad y en modo luz suave como base donde seguí añadiendo cada uno de los tonos en capas distintas para facilitarme el corregir con una capa de curva de tonos y balance de blancos.
Ya casi terminado, duplique toda la ilustración para añadirle un filtro de desenfoque de movimiento y con ayuda de una máscara de capa borre la parte central de la ilustración haciendo que el personaje principal se viera nítido y él restó desenfocado como en una fotografía. Solo quedo agregar la capa de ruido para finalizar y listo.

Having most of what I wanted almost finished, I started the coloring process and this time I used an opaque green tone in a layer with low opacity and in soft light mode as a base where I kept adding each of the tones in different layers to make it easier to correct with a tone curve and white balance layer.
Almost finished, I duplicated the whole illustration to add a motion blur filter and with the help of a layer mask I erased the central part of the illustration making the main character look sharp, and he was blurred as in a photograph. The only thing left to do was to add the noise layer to finish, and that's it.
