This is a rework piece added to the "Just Another Vandal" collection on tezos/objkt.
I enjoy vandalizing old artworks, not only that it's totally relevant to reflect on how society is changing, how beauty is being lost or taken for granted.

I also wanted to use the comparison to say "f*ck free art". That is why I called the piece "not a fan" and ofc because the original is called "the fan".
I believe we are losing our way with the "free mint" fad... desperation of dev's who didn't make much in 2021 to scalp artists. I do see benefits for newer artists to the NFT sphere however it kills those who have been here longer. While it's a fascinating concept to do that it forces artists to recycle their identity, their style and who they are. This is a particular dangerous proposition in humans with specifics quirks like artists and could lead us down an even darker road. No different than shown in the art.
