It reminds me of the plague doctors masks, these doctors and nurses during XVII century used to treat patients who were infected with the black plague, a deadly pandemic illness spread by the rats. Nobody knew how to treat these people, so they built something like a biosuit for quarantined zones. They thought that the virus was spread by the air and bad smell, so they built a mask inspired by birds heads, and they put fragrance and herbal plants inside it to prevent breathe the plague. They also had a stick, because they couldn't touch the pestilent ones.
Me recuerda a las máscaras de los médicos de la peste, estos médicos y enfermeros del siglo XVII solían tratar a los pacientes que estaban infectados con la peste negra, una enfermedad pandémica mortal propagada por las ratas. Nadie sabía cómo tratar a estas personas, por lo que construyeron algo así como un biotraje para zonas en cuarentena. Pensaron que el virus se contagiaba por el aire y el mal olor, por lo que construyeron una máscara inspirada en cabezas de pájaros, y le pusieron fragancias y plantas a base de hierbas para evitar respirar la peste.
