I jut realized something while doing my drawing my prompt for sketchtember. For the past 3 days, I fell back into my art style which was why I was making such good drawings and it also explains why I was working so fast (aside from the fact that I'm back to monochrome again XD) and I have no idea if I should be proud of myself but at this point, I just want to finish my prompt list and I stopped caring about what art style I'd go with XD
Going back to my phobia list, the prompt I'm working on today is fear of demons or daemonophobia another religious and occultist motivated fear and I really don't want to delve into the origins of demons and how long people have feared them. I do thing this has been an existing fear since the beginning of time and has been used to scare children to sleep.
This is my drawing for this prompt ^^
Materials: Black and white pen, chalk
Duration: 2.5 hours
It's not as extraordinary as the ones I did in the last 2 days but it definitely is good and it really tells me that this is the style I 'll keep coming back to XD
so for my process, I have made it a signature technique of mine to do a base color because I really have a hard time drawing on clean white paper now XD I am considering buying a toned sketch pad one of these days, but for now, I'm happy with who I'm doing. I didn't sketch as well, I just went straight to inking because I wanted to finish fast, mom was asking me to go out by the afternoon so this was sort of a rush thing for me. Good thing she took a nap in the meantime.
So I did not detail up while doing the shading because my hands ache after cooking all morning ;;-;; Sundays at home are meant for cooking and meal prep for the week and I have done my share already.
Now I'm at detailing and I made use of my chalk ad white pen like I always do. Highlights just really bring everything together for me and without the highlights, the drawing just looks dull and flat af.
Then there it is~~ My pretty demon~~ not something I'd fear unless I fear it stealing my boyfriend from me XD
So I'm actually still consistent at prompt 22 and when this month ends with complete prompts, I swear I'm celebrating with a small cake ;;-;; I deserve it after all the time I've allotted for sketchtember XD after that, I'll be working hard for inktober next XD A true artist knows no rest and I still haven't even done my concept mapping for it yet XD
