Hello friends, welcome back to a new entry for the @splinterlands art contest in which I wanted to use this time as inspiration Adelade brightwing card, this is a very nice card and with a quite fantastic story, I took the word "Goddess of the skies" to inspire me in my drawing, so that's what I wanted to do, an elegant Adelade, with a goddess pose, shining in a landscape where you can appreciate the sky but also some vegetation, the drawing at first would be quite colorful but I preferred to use a little more neutral tones for this occasion, I hope you like it.
I made my sketch for which I thought of a simple but elegant pose, the costume is practically the same with the difference that I wanted to make a neckline, the background was not yet planned so I did not draw it in the sketch, I started painting using saturated skin tones but then I started using more neutral tones to form the face and visible parts of the skin, little by little I painted all the skin until I got a smooth and realistic skin.
Now I filled with the base colors each part of the clothes, I did each one in separate layers because I feel better working that way, for the hair I used a light brown base color, creating clipping masks I began to fill and give volumes to each piece of clothing, once ready, it was time to shape the hair filling with lighter and darker tones to give movement, the wings were perhaps the most difficult, it really took me a lot of time, I wanted to make them similar to those of the original card but at the same time to fit well with my style of drawing, it was quite a complicated job because my mind was blocked for a moment.
For the background I made a kind of grass which I painted with a brush that has that texture and with the diffuse brush and another brush with smoke texture I made the sky and the clouds, I had done it with a warmer tone but finally I regretted it and went for colder colors.
I added more blue to the background and some flashes of yellow coming out of her, as well as some yellow in her hands, finally I applied a color adjustment where I changed a little the tonality of the whole drawing and I liked it much better this way, I also added a little more darkness in both corners and that's it.
