First portrait with my new Drawing tablet

Buenas noches amigos. Después de unos días sin poder dibujar debido a una lesión en la mano (precisamente causada por dibujar mucho) ya logré recuperarme, aunque no al 100% aun tengo dolor en la mano que me da por momentos, pero al menos lo peor ya paso, anoche por fin tuve la oportunidad de estrenar por primera vez mi nueva Tablet, esta vez es la Deco Pro de la marca XP-PEN, quise comenzar con un dibujo en retrato para no sobrecargar mi mano haciendo demasiados elementos y además poder probarla mas rápido, en mi primeras impresiones debo decir que me ha gustado muchísimo esta Tablet, tengo demasiados botones configurables y eso facilita mucho el trabajo, la cosa es que aun no me acostumbro a las teclas exprés que configure y muchas veces me equivocaba jajaja aun tengo en mente la configuración de la Tablet anterior, además esta tableta cuenta con una rueda tambien configurable a tu gusto que tiene 4 configuraciones distintas y es super facil de manejar, esa rueda es mi parte favorita de toda la Tablet, en mi caso yo la use para configurar el tamaño del pincel y tambien el zoom de la imagen, funciona genial y me permite trabajar todo muchísimo más cómodo y rápido, la textura de la Tablet es bastante diferente a las otras dos que he tenido, sin embargo, después de un rato te acostumbras y se siente super agradable, el lápiz es hermoso y cómodo, además tambien cuenta con dos botones configurables, llegue a un punto donde no sabía que otra configuración colocar de tantos botones que tengo. Para este dibujo utilice mayormente el pincel difuso, la presión del lápiz y el acabado que logro con cada trazo es bastante genial, siento que quedo mas bonito este dibujo que con la anterior tableta, aunque eso puede ser por varios factores, incluyendo la facilidad de manejar los atajos y hacer el trabajo más sencillo.

En conclusión, mi experiencia para esta primera vez pintando en la XP-PEN deco PRO fue muy buena, estoy muy feliz por esta compra, solo es cuestión de tiempo para adaptarme mejor a las nuevas teclas y además de que mi mano sane completamente para poder explotarla al máximo, en fin, espero que les guste.

After a few days without being able to draw due to a hand injury (precisely caused by drawing a lot) I managed to recover, although not 100% I still have pain in my hand that gives me at times, but at least the worst is over, last night I finally had the opportunity to use for the first time my new Tablet, this time is the Deco Pro of XP-PEN, I wanted to start with a portrait drawing to not overload my hand doing too many elements and also to test it faster, in my first impressions I must say that I really liked this Tablet, I have too many configurable buttons and that makes it much easier to work, the thing is that I still do not get used to the express keys that I set and often I was wrong hahaha I still have in mind the configuration of the previous Tablet, also this tablet has a wheel also configurable to your liking that has 4 different configurations and is super easy to handle, that wheel is my favorite part of the whole Tablet, in my case I used it to set the brush size and also the zoom of the image, it works great and allows me to work everything much more comfortable and faster, The texture of the tablet is quite different from the other two I've had, however, after a while you get used to it and it feels super nice, the pencil is beautiful and comfortable, it also has two configurable buttons, I got to a point where I did not know what other configuration to put so many buttons I have.

For this drawing I used mostly the diffuse brush, the pressure of the pencil and the finish I get with each stroke is pretty cool, I feel that this drawing was nicer than with the previous tablet, although that may be for several factors, including the ease of handling the shortcuts and make the work easier.

In conclusion, my experience for this first time painting on the XP-PEN deco PRO was very good, I am very happy for this purchase, it is only a matter of time to adapt better to the new keys and also that my hand heals completely to be able to exploit it to the maximum, in short, I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Realicé mi boceto, luego empecé a colocar los tonos base de la piel, esta vez quise usar tonalidades rosas y algunos marrones, en una nueva capa añadí mas colores formando por completo el rostro, después empecé por los ojos, mezclando todos los colores dejando una textura suave y mas realista, luego con la nariz y finalmente todo el rostro y cuello, para el cabello coloqué un color base marrón medio.

I made my sketch, then I started to place the base tones of the skin, this time I wanted to use pink and some brown tones, in a new layer I added more colors forming the whole face, then I started with the eyes, mixing all the colors leaving a soft and more realistic texture, then with the nose and finally the whole face and neck, for the hair I placed a medium brown base color.

Con luces y sombras le di forma al cabello, para el fondo elegí un color azul claro desaturado, se me ocurrió dibujar unas ramas que rodean el cuello, quise enrojecer las mejillas, nariz y alrededor de los ojos, lo hice con un tono naranja, añadí una capa de luces resaltando los ojos, nariz y boca, esta vez no quise exagerar mucho con las luces asi que fueron iluminaciones muy sutiles, finalmente edite la imagen haciendo un ajuste de color a mi gusto, dándole tonalidades un poco más frías en general, pero muy sutil.

With lights and shadows I gave shape to the hair, for the background I chose a light blue desaturated color, it occurred to me to draw some branches that surround the neck, I wanted to redden the cheeks, nose and around the eyes, I did it with an orange tone, I added a layer of lights highlighting the eyes, nose and mouth, this time I didn't want to exaggerate much with the lights so they were very subtle illuminations, finally I edited the image making a color adjustment to my taste, giving it a little cooler tones in general, but very subtle.
