Feliz fin de semana. Aunque no lo parezca, me gusta muchísimo las ilustraciones que tienen muchísimo color y sobre todo si tienen una combinación que suena bastante loca y llamativa, aunque es algo que suelo practicar muy poco porque mi estilo va con tonos mas fríos y desaturados, sin embargo, hay dias como hoy donde me siento inspirada y con muchísimas ganas de plasmar algo diferente, salir un poco de mi zona de confort, a veces me cuesta tener ideas pero me encanta dibujar e intento desarrollarlas poco a poco mientras voy pintando, realmente estoy satisfecha con este ultimo trabajo para el cual utilice una paleta de colores bastante variada y la cual me costó muchísimo trabajar, realmente es un reto cambiar tonos de piel “normales” a unos tonos de piel mas fantasiosos y combinarlos entre fríos y cálidos, acompáñenme a ver el proceso de esta colorida obra y espero que les guste.

Although it may not seem like it, I really like illustrations that have a lot of color and especially if they have a combination that sounds pretty crazy and flashy, although it is something that I usually practice very little because my style goes with colder and desaturated tones, however, there are days like today where I feel inspired and eager to capture something different, get out of my comfort zone a little bit, sometimes it's hard for me to have ideas but I love to draw and I try to develop them little by little while I'm painting, I'm really satisfied with this last work for which I used a varied color palette and which cost me a lot to work, it's really a challenge to change "normal" skin tones to more fantasy skin tones and combine them between cold and warm, join me to see the process of this colorful work and I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

En mi mente tenia ya la idea de que quería algo bastante colorido, pero pensé que quizás podría ser un retrato, sin embargo me llamaba más la atención hacer al menos parte del cuerpo entonces fue que decidí optar por un torso, realice el boceto el cual fue bastante complicado, la pose era algo difícil de manejar y al principio sentía que me iba a quedar bizca por el ángulo de su rostro jajaja, comencé a pintar el fondo colocando parte de los colores con los cual trabajaría en este caso una gama de rosas, naranjas, azules, algunos morados y rojos, para la base de la piel aplique un color gris con tonalidades moradas, creé una nueva capa donde añadí mas colores para ir dándole forma al cuerpo, esta vez no quise añadir tantos colores como suelo hacer normalmente para no confundirme tanto, realmente fue difícil, empecé a colocar color al cabello y el vestido.

In my mind I already had the idea that I wanted something quite colorful, but I thought that maybe it could be a portrait, however I was more interested in doing at least part of the body so I decided to opt for a torso, I made the sketch which was quite complicated, the pose was somewhat difficult to handle and at first I felt that I was going to be cross-eyed by the angle of her face hahaha, I began to paint the background placing part of the colors with which I would work in this case a range of pinks, oranges, blues, some purples and reds, for the base of the skin I applied a gray color with purple tones, I created a new layer where I added more colors to give shape to the body, this time I did not want to add as many colors as I usually do to not get confused so much, it was really difficult, I started to put color to the hair and dress.

Comencé a mezclar los colores del rostro para darle un acabado suave, luego hice lo mismo con el pecho y los brazos, continue detallando el rostro, dándole mas enfoque a los ojos, pintando las pestañas y cejas, esta vez no quise añadir pupilas asi que solo pinte los ojos con morado, para el vestido, quería algo con movimiento y con estilo, así que decidí probar algo diferente y me gusto bastante, comencé a jugar con diferentes tonos de azules y utilice un pincel de textura de tiza, aplique diferentes toques de cada color por todo el vestido y el resultado fue increíble, al menos para mi.

El cabello me preocupaba bastante, pero me llene de valentía y comencé a pintar añadiendo diferentes tonos claros y oscuros, luego dibuje mechones por mechones y algunas partes las rellene con ayuda de un pincel con textura de cabello, queria que este dibujo tuviese algo de flores, asi que comencé a pintar esta especie de flores que cubren el brazo, las cuales hice simplemente dando algunos brochazos sin muchos detalles, pero cambiando los colores para darle contraste y un efecto de flores.

I started blending the colors of the face to give it a soft finish, then I did the same with the chest and arms, I continued detailing the face, giving more focus to the eyes, painting the eyelashes and eyebrows, this time I didn't want to add pupils so I just painted the eyes with purple, for the dress, I wanted something with movement and style, so I decided to try something different and I liked it a lot, I started to play with different shades of blue and used a chalk texture brush, I applied different touches of each color all over the dress and the result was amazing, at least for me.
The hair worried me a lot, but I got brave and started to paint adding different light and dark tones, then I drew locks by locks and some parts I filled them with the help of a brush with hair texture, I wanted this drawing to have some flowers, so I started to paint this kind of flowers that cover the arm, which I did simply giving some brush strokes without many details, but changing the colors to give contrast and a flower effect.

Le di mas detalles y colores al fondo, también pinte estas flores en el fondo, aunque siento que esas me quedaron muchísimo mejor que las del frente jaja, agregue una capa de brillo para comenzar a aplicar detalles de luz al rostro y asi darle mas vida a todo el asunto, pinte un collar en el cuello y luego se me ocurrió poner algunos “pétalos cayendo y algunas plumas también, finalmente aplique un ajuste de color para darle mas profundidad y saturación al dibujo, quede muy enamorada del resultado final.

I gave more details and colors to the background, I also painted these flowers in the background, although I feel that those were much better than the ones in the front haha, I added a light layer to begin to apply light details to the face and give more life to the whole thing, I painted a necklace on the neck and then I thought to put some "petals falling and some feathers too, finally I applied a color adjustment to give more depth and saturation to the drawing, I was very in love with the final result.
