Epona Fanart - Splinterlands Art Contest Week

Greetings!

Welcome to another edition of my Splinterlands fanart. This blog contains the step-by-step process of an "Epona" fanart I created.

Below is the final art that I created. Also, check out the art process, inspiration card, reference image, device, and software I used to make the fan art.

Inspiration card - Epona

Art process

I first outlined it in blue and finalized it with black and dark gold. I decided to change my approach in finalizing my outline and see if it would have a significant effect on the final drawing.
After finalizing the outline. I started coloring from top to bottom beginning with the hair. As it turned out, changing my approach in finalizing the final outline of the hair produced glowing hair. After coloring the hair I followed it up with the face, the tiara, and the choker.
Next up, I colored from the neck to the chest, tummy, arms, and hands.
Then I followed it up with the skirt, thighs, and the outline of the gold outlines of the clothes.

Final art

And finally, I added the bracelets and some silhouettes so that the background would not look bare.
