The anime sends us thousands of years into the future, to a post-apocalyptic earth abandoned by mankind. It is overrun by machine-like life forms that were created by aliens who ravaged the planet. Este anime obtuvo al principio una muy buena aceptación del público, consiguiendo ser una de las adaptaciones animadas de videojuegos más populares del momento, pero los problemas que tuvieron con la pandemia entre lo miembros del equipo de producción hizo que se retrasaran las emisiones de algunos episodios. Para cuando terminaron de emitir todos los episodios del primer cour, todo el “HYPE” y popularidad que consiguió en el principio lo perdió, terminando como uno de los animes más infravalorados del 2023. Sin embargo, con el grandioso regreso en esta temporada con su segundo cour, este anime me hizo recordar lo mucho que me fascinó desde el principio, tanto por su estilo y calidad de animación, como también por su historia y personajes.
En cuanto a trama, me llama bastante la atención el tema de los mundos post-apocalípticos y más si los mezclan con ciencia ficción: extraterrestres, máquinas, androides, guerras de poder, inteligencias, evolución, etc. Todo esto y más se puede presenciar en esta adaptación animada. Si bien no soy fan ni conocía el videojuego antes de ver este anime, esto no hizo que mi interés por la historia que cuenta se desvaneciera, todo lo contrario, la forma en la que Yoko Taro consiguió escribir una obra tan bien hecha, con detalles humanos en formas de vida inteligentes que existen miles de años después de la existencia de la humanidad, es tanto curioso como perfecto.

The animation, of course, is a visual spectacle, taking into account that the studio A-1 Pictures has made one of the best works that can be enjoyed from its extensive repertoire. The music or soundtrack, on the other hand, is in charge of Monaca, which was also in charge of composing the music for the inspired videogame. This perfect blend of action sequences with an incredible fluidity in the animation and a background music that lifts you up and inspires you to hook you to watch it until the end make this anime an audiovisual marvel. While it is true that, in terms of "fanservice" this anime does not escape from it, especially for the character of 2B, which is the most popular of the entire franchise (for obvious reasons), this does not ruin the plot or sequences and / or scenes, as has happened with many other anime. In the end, it is still a very well done work for some fan or lover of the genre or the franchise.
Personally, I give it an 8.5/10 rating for the sci-fi/action/drama genre.

Los personajes que conocemos en este anime, por otro lado, le dan ese toque nostálgico y humano a la historia, teniendo en cuenta que son androides que tienen prohibido sentir emociones. Y es que la lucha que hay, tanto de máquinas contra androides como de pensamientos y recuerdos es muy notable en cada capítulo. Los monólogos internos de cada uno, las relaciones que desarrollan entre los androides y las máquinas, las decisiones que toma YoRHa que toman un rumbo de la guerra un tanto difícil de vislumbrar y un Consejo de Humanidad que tienen entre sí muchos secretos que van creciendo a la vez que vamos conociendo las intenciones de dicha organización para la guerra. Se puede decir que lo que más me gusta de este anime son tanto los temas que tratan como también la forma en la que desarrollan la historia y los personajes.
La animación, por supuesto, es un espectáculo visual, tomando en cuenta que el estudio A-1 Pictures ha realizado uno de los mejores trabajos que se pueden disfrutar de su extenso repertorio. La música o banda sonora, por otro lado, está a cargo de Monaca, la cual también se encargó de componer la música del videojuego inspirado.
