Plot
The anime introduces us to a teenager named Arajin Tomoshibi, who has just returned to his hometown and starts studying in high school where he meets his old childhood friend, Matakara Asamine, who is part of one of the most dangerous gangs in the city. But Arajin is not interested in getting involved in street fights, so he decides to seek the attention of the only girl in his class, Mahoro, who ignores him completely. But one day they meet by chance a group of gang members, among whom is one of the strongest leaders of the neighborhood, who curiously is the older brother of the girl with whom our protagonist is in love. Seeing them together, he gets angry and looks for a fight. But what no one knows is that moments before Arajin accidentally enchanted an old weapon in an abandoned temple where a genie-like spiritual being named Senya has possessed his body and now it manages to merge with him to give him superhuman strength.

With this I make clear my sincere opinion about this character, who like any protagonist of an action anime, is the typical one who receives a gift of power and who stands out just in important moments of the work. But, his attitude and way of being seems to me the worst, being a guy who refuses to have to relate again with his childhood friend for any "past trauma" he has (practically for being a coward). Although throughout the anime they try to explain Matakara Asamine's courage and admiration for him, despite ignoring and rejecting him at every turn, this one doesn't quite convince me. While it is funny the desire that our protagonist has, the decisions he makes and his attitude towards every important situation is a clear sign of how cowardly he is.
On the other hand, Matakara Asamine is one of those secondary characters that don't need to be protagonists to stand out, with a personality that is admirable and a way of thinking that is both innocent and sensible. The only thing that detracts from him is his way of seeing himself as someone who doesn't have the strength he needs to face his deepest fears. A character who has indeed suffered and shown to have a development that is admirable at best. The other characters while standing out on one hand with how charismatic, comical and different they are, don't end up being those typical characters that can be replicated by those in any other Shōnen anime. The story is a mixture of humor with action, a story of revenge that starts as a sequence of awkward moments and problems for our protagonist, but gradually develops into a confrontation between two strong warriors, two old friends. The battles are one of those that you give a couple of points in favor to stand out very well, besides having confrontations with endings that you do not expect.

Para empezar, si hablamos de pésimos protagonistas, Arajin Tomoshibi está entre el “Top 10”, sin lugar a dudas. Ya con esto dejo claro mi opinión sincera acerca de este personaje, quien como todo protagonista de un anime de acción, es el típico que recibe un poder regalado y que se destaca justamente en momentos importantes de la obra. Pero, su actitud y forma de ser me parece de lo peor, siendo un chico que rechaza tener que relacionarse de nuevo con su amigo de la infancia por cualquier “trauma del pasado” que tenga (prácticamente por ser un cobarde). Aunque a lo largo del anime nos intentan explicar el valor y la admiración que Matakara Asamine le tiene, a pesar de ignorarlo y rechazarlo a cada rato, este no me termina de convencer del todo. Si bien es gracioso el deseo que nuestro protagonista tiene, las decisiones que toma y su actitud ante cada situación importante es una clara muestra de lo cobarde que es.
Por otro lado, Matakara Asamine es de esos personajes secundarios que no necesitan ser protagonistas para resaltar, con una personalidad que es admirable y una forma de pensar inocente y a la vez sensata. Lo único que le resta valor es su forma de verse a sí mismo como alguien que no tiene las fuerzas que necesita para afrontar sus más profundos miedos. Un personaje que sí ha sufrido y que ha demostrado tener un desarrollo que es admirable, como mucho. Los demás personajes si bien se destacan por un lado con lo carismáticos, cómicos y diferentes que son, no terminan siendo esos típicos personajes que se pueden replicar por los de cualquier otro anime Shōnen. La historia es una mezcla de humor con acción, una historia de venganza que empieza siendo una secuencia de momentos incómodos y problemas para nuestro protagonista, pero que poco a poco se va desarrollando hasta convertirse en un enfrentamiento entre dos fuertes guerreros, dos viejos amigos. Las batallas son de eso que le das un par de puntos a favor al destacarse muy bien, además de tener enfrentamientos con finales que no esperas.

I love the special way this studio has of animating action works, as Jujutsu Kaisen was in its time. Of course, this anime can't be compared to it at all, but it has its own thing and works very well as a standalone. Let's keep in mind that this is a street battle anime, so if you're expecting to see amazing animation like the one mentioned above, you're not going to find it here. The sound effects are also well done and blend perfectly throughout the work, also its soundtrack, which is one of its strong points as well, with a very good Opening and Ending. In summary, this anime is a work of action and comedy with excellent animation that is always good to watch and enjoy at some point in your life.
Personally, I give it a rating of 8/10 as far as the action and comedy genre is concerned.

La animación… pues bueno, tomando en cuenta que es nada menos que el estudio MAPPA quién está detrás de todo esto ya nos hace una idea clara de lo excelentemente animado que está, con un detalle y una calidad que se nota en cada frame, en cada fotografía y dibujo que se muestra. Me encanta la forma tan especial que tiene este estudio de animar obras de acción, como en su momento lo fue Jujutsu Kaisen. Claro, este anime no se le puede comparar en lo absoluto, pero sí que tiene lo suyo y funciona muy bien de forma independiente. Tomemos en cuenta que es un anime de batallas callejeras, así que si esperas ver una animación increíble como la anterior mencionada, pues aquí no la vas a encontrar. Los efectos de sonido están también bien hechos y se mezclan perfectamente en toda la obra, también su banda sonora, la cual es de sus puntos fuertes también, con un Opening y un Ending muy buenos. En resumen, este anime es una obra de acción y comedia con una excelente animación que siempre está bien ver y disfrutar en algún momento de tu vida.
Personalmente, le doy una calificación de 8/10 en lo que respecta al género de acción y comedia.
