Yoshiki and Hikuru were two best friends who live in a small village, but something is off about hikaru ever since he went missing for a week in the forest.
After he returns he is completely changed and something seems off. So one day, Yoshiki confronts his best friend Hikaru that he isn't the same person as before and finds out something else has taken over Hikaru's body.
Hikaru then reveals to be a horrific creature. A creature that's taken over his body and been living inside Hikaru's body, acting like a human. This mysterious creature pleads and threatens to take Yoshiki's life if he doesn't keep it a secret.
So with no other option, Yoshiki accepts his life together with his best friend (who is actually dead, and the creature living inside his body).
The Summer Hikaru Died is a body horror manga, and it does a great job, making you uneasy with every chapters. The character interaction and friend who stumbles across many obstacles only get wilder and exciting. This manga becomes more and more interesting as murders and strange phenomenons start to occur around their village.

Yoshiki y Hikuru eran dos mejores amigos que vivían en un pequeño pueblo, pero algo anda mal con Hikaru desde que desapareció durante una semana en el bosque.
