A big greeting to all anime and manga lovers, in these last days of the year I have managed to dedicate part of my free time to watch those anime I had on my list for a long time like Kimi No Uso and finish some of the current season that I had not watched yet, although I have been catching up with several anime I wanted to participate in the initiative of the community in recommending an anime perhaps not so well known and as I am a big fan of Romcom and Dramas and considering that I am just starting Kimi No Uso, I decided to mention an anime of this style Slife Of Life mixed with drama and sadness, which may not be so well known by those who do not enjoy this style of anime and also is the work of one of my favorite authors Jun Maeda, this anime is about Angel Beats!.

For those who do not have much time enjoying anime may not have heard this anime and it is because it is already more than 13 years old having been published in mid-2010, the approach of this anime the truth manages to catch your attention from the first moment, it seems to be a typical school anime but soon you see how for some reason the students have bladed weapons and firearms of great power as if it were something normal and also fight against an "Angel" who is nothing more than the little Kanade, a girl with silver hair and quite peculiar powers.
The background is quite somber for the moments of action and comedy that we can have in the beginning, a series of students who are already dead and are in a kind of Limbo which is nothing more than a high school where they seem to have a normal life while trying to beat Kanade to talk to God or escape from that place, the fun is that as they are obviously already dead, all the damage they do will not be harmful and simply return to recover allowing moments of comedy where they simply attack each other as a comic scene.

At first this anime seemed to me something focused only on comedy because even the students had no memories of their past lives so the frustration or regret is not present and everything was based on their struggles with Kanade but very quickly we see how all one by one and quite slowly are remembering their last moments of life and thus the regrets they came to feel at the time of death, as it could not be otherwise being a Maeda anime each story is really sad and although it is a character who did not have much appearance in the chapters, it ends up having a really sad and empathetic moment where it is impossible not to feel bad for his death and in the end feel somewhat calm because when they overcome these frustrations they manage to move to the next plane and leave limbo.

Angel Beats! It is a short anime with only 13 chapters so it is very easy to make a marathon to watch it in two days and the truth with its story, background and tragic development is incredibly captivating with which you could watch the whole anime without even noticing the time passing, among some of the aspects that caught my attention in this anime is the fact that despite having several characters that could be considered secondary and mostly only have 3 main characters, the appearance of the other characters is very captivating, the appearance of the other characters is very well developed, in some cases it manages to have a chapter or part of the chapter focused on the past and tragic history of the character and you manage to develop an empathy and sadness for it really high to the point of feeling that a main character is disappearing from the story.

For lovers of dramatic anime, this anime has that mixed ending between tragedy and joy that leaves that sweet / bitter feeling so characteristic of this genre, where despite feeling that everything ended well and that to some extent you can consider it as a happy ending, it is still really sad and will be an anime that when you finish it will last several days thinking about its end and feel that melancholy of having finished it. Other aspects that turn out to be very good in this anime and that complement very well the experience when watching this anime are its visual quality which despite being something old is very good, additionally it has a fantastic soundtrack to the point that you literally have a whole playlist of the "Band" that appears in the anime and you can listen to all their songs on Youtube, if you want to listen to them you can look for the playlist of Girls Dead Monster. A somewhat short but very emotional anime, perfect if you are a lover of this genre of anime and if you are not it is good enough to start, besides not being the best known of all.

Un gran saludo para todos los amantes del anime y manga, en estos últimos días del año he logrado dedicar parte de mi tiempo libre a ver esos animes que tenía en lista de hace mucho como lo es Kimi No Uso y terminar algunos de la temporada actual que me faltaban por ver, aunque he estado poniéndome al día con varios animes quise participar en la iniciativa de la comunidad en recomendar un anime tal vez no tan conocido y como soy un gran fanático de los Romcom y Dramas y considerando que precisamente estoy comenzando Kimi No Uso, decidi mencionar un anime de este estilo Slife Of Life mezclado con drama y tristeza, que puede no ser tan conocido por aquellos que no disfruten este estilo de animes y ademas es obra de uno de mis Autores favoritos Jun Maeda, este anime se trata de Angel Beats!.

Para aquellos que no tengan mucho tiempo disfrutando del anime puede que este anime no lo hayan escuchado y es debido a que ya tiene más de 13 años de antigüedad al haber sido publicado a mediados del 2010, el enfoque de este anime la verdad te logra llamar mucho la atención desde el primer momento, parece ser un típico anime escolar pero pronto vez como por alguna razón los estudiantes tienen armas blancas y armas de fuego de gran potencia como si fuera algo normal y además luchan contra un “Angel” quien no es más que la pequeña Kanade, una niña de pelo plateado y con poderes bastante peculiares.
El trasfondo es bastante sombrío para los momentos de acción y comedia que podemos tener en sus inicios, una serie de estudiantes que ya están muertos y se encuentran en una especie de Limbo el cual no es más que una preparatoria en donde parecen tener una vida normal mientras tratan de vencer a Kanade para lograr hablar con Dios o escapar de ese sitio, lo divertido es que como evidentemente ya están muertos, todo el daño que se hagan no será perjudicial y simplemente vuelven a recuperarse permitiendo momentos de comedia en donde simplemente se atacan entre sí a modo de escena comica.

En un principio este anime me pareció algo enfocado solo en la comedia debido a que incluso los estudiantes no tenían recuerdos de sus vidas pasadas por lo cual la frustración o arrepentimiento no está presente y todo se basaba en sus luchas con Kanade pero muy rápido vemos como todos uno por uno y de manera bastante lenta van recordando sus últimos momentos de vida y con ello los arrepentimientos que llegaron a sentir al momento de morir, como no podría ser de otra manera al ser un anime de Maeda cada historia es realmente triste y aunque sea un personaje que no tuviera mucha aparición en los capítulos, termina teniendo un momento realmente triste y empático en donde te resulta imposible no sentirte mal por su muerte y al final sentirte algo tranquilo debido a que cuando superan estas frustraciones logran pasar al siguiente plano y dejar el limbo.

Angel Beats! Es un anime corto con solo 13 capítulos por lo cual es muy fácil hacer un maratón para verlo en dos días y la verdad con su historia, trasfondo y desarrollo trágico es increíblemente cautivador con lo cual podrías ver todo el anime sin ni siquiera notar el tiempo pasar, entre algunos de los aspectos que más llamaron mi atención en este anime es el hecho de que a pesar de contar con varios personajes que podríamos considerar secundarios y mayormente solo contar con 3 personajes principales, la aparición de los demás personajes resulta muy bien desarrollada, en algunos casos se logra tener un capitulo o parte del capítulo centrado en el pasado e historia trágica del personaje y logras desarrollar una empatía y tristeza por el mismo realmente alta hasta el punto de sentir que está desapareciendo de la historia un personaje principal.

Para los amantes de los animes dramáticos, este anime cuenta con ese final mixto entre tragedia y alegría que nos deja esa sensación dulce/amarga tan característica de este género, en donde a pesar de sentir que todo termino bien y que hasta cierto punto puedes considerarlo como un final feliz, no deja de ser realmente triste y que será un anime que cuando lo termines duraras varios días pensando en su final y sentirás esa melancolía de haberlo terminado. Otros aspectos que resultan ser muy buenos en este anime y que complementan muy bien la experiencia al ver este anime son su calidad visual la cual a pesar de ser algo antiguo es muy buena, adicionalmente cuenta con una banda sonora fantástica hasta el punto que literalmente tienes toda una playlist de la “Banda” que aparece en el anime y puedes escuchar todas sus canciones por Youtube, si quieren escucharlas puedes buscar el playlist de Girls Dead Monster. Un anime algo corto pero muy emotivo, perfecto si eres amante de este género de anime y si no lo eres es lo suficientemente bueno para comenzar, además de no ser el más conocido de todos.
