Onlyfans for mangakas...

One of the tools i want to talk about this talk is the Live Sketch from pixiv.net which has an amazing Japanese community of artists and creators. Like Twich you can watch and tip live artists do their art.

Of course you will need to be skillfull in hiragana and kanjis as the chat is exclusively in Japanese. But besides the possible language barrier, the chance to see the tools, the templates and the way they use the tools from photoshop or other graphical tools that you might not be aware of.

I have watched many artists come with all kind of work from the extremely cute, to scary to simply amazing. The way these artists design their characters is so on point, I wish I had a small piece of their skill.

If you ever tried to draw manga even on a computer, you'll see how challenging is. So many hours, so much focus and work. I have such a big respect for them.

You can install the app if you are on a phone as the website sometimes it's not responsive from the phone. However try the app and you can also have a different experience as a creator.

Have you ever tried to draw a manga? Was it on paper or on the computer?

I remember when the IPad came on, a lot of designers wanted to use it as a pencil pad, and when the Pro version launched it was like targeted for them. However to my surprise, most mangakas actually use larger webpads. Like she wacom Cintiq 16 or the Artist 15.6 Pro by XP-PEN.
