Primeramente gracias a las comunidades de OCD y The Anime Realm, por llevarnos a recordar la infancia a través de concursos como estos.
Este es el primer concurso en el que participo, no sabía que algunas de las comiquitas que veía de niño y adolescente eran animes o manga.

First of all, thanks to the communities of OCD and The Anime Realm, for taking us to remember our childhood through contests like these.
This is the first contest I've participated in, I didn't know that some of the comics I watched as a kid and teenager were anime or manga.
Candy-MetroEcuador
Antes de comenzar, debo confesar que vi en varias ocasiones Candy, Candy jeje, al tener hermanas y ser mayores que yo, tomaban el control del televisor y no me quedaba más que ver está comiquita con ellas, aún recuerdo a Candy decir: -Anthony- (léase con la voz de Candy) y Annie llorar a cada rato. Pero de eso no es lo que voy a hablarles, si no de SPEED RACER.
La familia Racer, estaba conformada por los padres, el hijo mayor Rex, quien estaba perdido ya que fingió su muerte para cuidar a su familia, también estaba Meteoro, el segundo hijo de la familia y personaje principal de esta manga, la cual es más conocida por ese nombre y estaba Chispita, quien era el hermano menor de Meteoro.
Entre otros personajes importantes estaban: la novia de Meteoro, Trixie y su mejor amigo Sparky, a quien le llamaban Bujía y era el mecánico de el Mach 5 el carro se Meteoro. También tenían un mono de mascota, del cual no recuerdo su nombre.
Before I start, I must confess that I watched Candy, Candy hehe, having sisters and being older than me, they took control of the TV and I had no choice but to watch this cartoon with them, I still remember Candy saying: "Anthony" (read with Candy's voice) and Annie crying all the time. But that's not what I'm going to talk about, I'm going to talk about SPEED RACER.
The Racer family consisted of the parents, the eldest son Rex, who was missing since he faked his death to take care of his family, there was also Meteoro, the second son of the family and main character of this manga, which is better known by that name and there was Chispita, who was the younger brother of Speed Racer.
Among other important characters were: Meteoro girlfriend, Trixie and his best friend Sparky, who was called Spark Plug and was the mechanic of Speed Racer's Mach 5 car. They also had a pet monkey, whose name I don't remember.
Personajes
Esta manga de género carreras y acción, salió en los años 60, sin embargo yo la vi unos 25 a 30 años después, tampoco soy tan viejo. Recuerdo que era un niño y la veía por un canal nacional de mi país.
Lo que más me gustaba era el carro de Meteoro, el Mach 5, sus armas, trampas, la potencia de su motor y todo lo referente a él. Las carreras eran emocionantes, Meteoro no sólo corría en la pista, sino que también peleaba con sus enemigos.
La familia Racer, era muy unida, Chispita siempre se andaba metiendo en problemas siguiendo a su hermano y estos lo ayudaban a salir de esos líos. Su mascota el mono, era su cómplice. Aunque Chispita en muchas oportunidades también ayudó a Meteoro.
This racing and action manga came out in the 60's, but I saw it about 25 to 30 years later, I'm not that old either. I remember I was a kid and I watched it on a national channel in my country.
What I liked the most was the Meteoro car, the Mach 5, its weapons, traps, the power of its engine and everything about it. The races were exciting, Meteoro not only raced on the track, but also fought with his enemies.
The Racer family was very united, Chispita was always getting into trouble following his brother and they helped him to get out of those troubles. His pet monkey was his accomplice. Although Chispita also helped Meteoro on many occasions.

Rex, el hermano mayor de Meteoro, como dije a un inicio, se hacía pasar por muerto para proteger a su familia de sus archi enemigos, se hacía llamar El Corredor X o Corredor Enmascarado. Este nunca mostraba su rostro, ya que ocultaba su identidad.
La familia Racer no sabía que el Corredor Enmascarado, era su hijo Rex, pero este siempre estaba al pendiente de ayudarlos, sobretodo a Meteoro.
Rex, Meteoro's older brother, as I said at the beginning, pretended to be dead to protect his family from his arch enemies, he called himself "The corridor X or Corridor Masked". He never showed his face, since he hid his identity.
The Racer family did not know that the Masked Racer was their son Rex, but he was always ready to help them, especially a Meteoro.

Literalmente, estoy cantando la canción de Speed Racer, mientras escribo esta publicación.
Hace aproximadamente 10 años, sacaron la película de Meteoro, en este punto tengo críticas, ya que se fueron mucho a la ficción, en el sentido de a lo irreal, a diferencia de la manga, que era más realista.
El carro de la película si me gustó, pero las pistas no, ya que como dije eran muy irreales, los gráficos tampoco eran muy buenos. Espero que un día puedan sacar una mejor versión.
I'm literally singing the Speed Racer theme song as I write this post hahaha.
About 10 years ago, they released the movie of Speed Racer, at this point I have criticisms, since they went too much to fiction, in the sense of the unreal, unlike the manga, which was more realistic.
I liked the car of the movie, but I didn't like the tracks, because as I said they were very unrealistic, the graphics were not very good either. I hope that one day they can release a better version.
