Hello everyone, anime lovers. I hope you are all well today, dear community. I will tell you about a very interesting anime, which captivated me from the beginning... This anime was one of the first I saw, and if I remember correctly, the first of romance genre that I saw, and without a doubt it was my favorite for many years ... It is the anime: Ore Monogatari. Or also known as: My Love Story! At the time of starting it, I didn't have many expectations, I started it, well, just on a whim, since at that time, romance anime were not the ones that called my attention the most, but of course, that changed after... Animated by the great studio Madhouse, this series caught me in a way I didn't expect...
The story introduces us to Takeo, a very tall, muscular guy, he looks very different from the classic romance anime protagonists. This guy has a heart of gold, but he doesn't know how to relate very well with other people, especially with girls, because of his intimidating appearance... or he can even be perceived as very unattractive. From the beginning it is easy to empathize with him, even though he is a very good person, he is seen as ugly, or mostly rejected... Fortunately, Takeo has a best friend, the very handsome and charismatic Suna, a guy who is super popular with the girls, but is a very good person, and has been Takeo's friend since he was little, they are childhood friends.... I found this initial dynamic interesting. The plot begins, when one day, Takeo saves a girl, from a stalker on the train.... Rinko, is a small, kind and adorable girl, and soon her gratitude turns into something more.
Hola a todos, amantes del anime. Espero se encuentren todos bien el día de hoy, querida comunidad. Les hablaré de un anime muy interesante, el cual me cautivó desde un principio.. Este anime fue de los primeros que vi, y si no mal recuerdo, el primero de género romance que ví, y sin duda fue mi favorito por muchos años.. Se trata del anime: Ore Monogatari. O también conocido como: My Love Story!! Al momento de comenzarlo, no tenía muchas expectativas, lo comencé, pues por mero capricho, ya que en ese tiempo, los animes de romance no eran los que más me llamaban la atención, aunque claro, eso cambio después.. Animado por el gran estudio Madhouse, esta serie me atrapó de una manera que no esperaba..
La historia nos presenta a Takeo, un chico muy alto, y musculoso, él tiene la apariencia muy diferente a los clásicos protagonistas de los animes de romance. Este chico tiene un corazón de oro, pero no sabe relacionarse muy bien con otras personas, en especial con las chicas, debido a su apariencia intimidante.. o incluso puede ser percibido como muy poco atractivo. Desde un principio es fácil empatizar con el, a pesar de ser muy buena persona, es visto como alguien feo, o mayormente es rechazado.. Afortunadamente, Takeo tiene un mejor amigo, el muy guapo y carismático Suna, un chico super popular con las chicas, pero que es muy buena persona, y es amigo de Takeo desde pequeño, son amigos de la infancia.. Esta dinámica inicial me pareció interesante. La trama comienza, cuando un día, Takeo salva a una chica, de un acosador en el tren.. Rinko, es una chica pequeña, amable y adorable, y pronto su agradecimiento se convierte en algo más.
After these two meet, and begin to strike up a friendship... what follows is a series of charming and funny situations where Rinko and Takeo navigate the signs of their relationship... This series tackles this romance theme in such a pure and sincere way, it's very cute how things are presented, although for some people with very little tolerance for sugar it might feel cloying... often romance stories tend to focus on drama and complications, but this anime focuses on the goodness, and the tenderness of what a teenage relationship would entail.
There are very good character developments, Takeo is a great protagonist, he is likeable, despite his rough appearance, he is a very gentle giant and his purity of heart are present in every episode, he also gives a lot of laughs in some cases. It's impossible not to connect with this guy because of his sincerity and bravery, on the other hand, Rinko is the personification of tenderness, we soon discover how her love for Takeo is really genuine and selfless, how she sees him for who he is, and falls in love with him for his person... it's great to see how their relationship becomes so authentic.
Luego de que estos dos se encontraran, y empezarán a entablar una amistad.. lo que sigue es una serie de situaciones encantadoras y divertidas dónde Rinko y Takeo navegan por los indicios de su relación.. Está serie aborda este tema del romance de una manera tan pura y sincera, es muy lindo como se presentan las cosas, aunque para algunas personas con muy poco tolerancia por el azúcar tal vez lo sientan empalagoso.. a menudo las historias de romance tienen a centrarse en drama y complicaciones, pero este anime se enfoca en la bondad, y en la ternura de lo que implicaría una relación de adolescentes.
Hay muy buenos desarrollos de personajes, Takeo es un gran protagonista, es simpático, a pesar de su aspecto rudo, es un gigante muy gentil y su pureza de corazón están presentes en cada episodio, también da mucha risa en algunos casos. Es imposible no conectar con este chico por su sinceridad y valentía, por otro lado, Rinko es la personificación de ternura, pronto descubrimos como su amor por Takeo es realmente genuino y desinteresado, como lo ve por quien es, y se enamora de él por su persona.. es genial ver cómo su relación se vuelve tan auténtica.
Besides the lovebirds, Takeo's friend Suna also deserves a special mention... Very often, in stories of this kind, the handsome best friend can become the love rival, but clearly that doesn't happen here. Suna is a super loyal friend, and his role in the story is very crucial, it's great to see how he supports Takeo and Rinko in a great way, gives them those pushes they need to get closer, and helps a lot in the dynamic of this couple. His wisdom brings a lot of balance to the story, and I feel that his character is very well written.
The animation is of great quality, the facial expressions are great, they convey all the emotions of the characters very well, in general I thought it was very well animated, in key scenes as usual the effort is very noticeable. It has a vibrant color palette, and the scenery, with all the details of those, adds an additional layer of visual enjoyment, for a romantic anime it is very well animated, it is pleasant to watch. The music also seemed ideal to me, the soundtrack is brilliantly placed when it's due... enhancing very well the comic moments, and the moments full of tenderness. The Opening and Endign are also up to par, they are catchy and go very well with the aesthetics of the anime.
Además de los tortolos, Suna, el amigo de Takeo, también merece una mención especial.. Muy a menudo, en historias de este tipo, el mejor amigo guapo puede convertirse en el rival amoroso, pero claramente eso aquí no sucede. Suna es un amigo super leal, y su papel en la historia es muy crucial, es genial ver cómo apoya a Takeo y a Rinko de una manera genial, les da esos empujones que necesitan para acercarse, y ayuda mucho en la dinámica de esta pareja. Su sabiduría aportan mucho equilibrio a la historia, y siento que su personaje está muy bien escrito.
La animación es de gran calidad, son geniales las expresiones faciales, transmiten muy bien todas las emociones de los personajes, en general me pareció que está muy bien animado, en escenas clave como es costumbre se nota mucho más el esfuerzo.. Tiene una paleta de colores vibrantes, y los escenarios, con todos los detalles de esos, añade una capa adicional de disfrute visual, para ser un anime romántico está muy bien animado, es agradable de ver. La música también me pareció ideal, el soundtrack está genialmente puesto cuando es debido.. realzando muy bien los momentos cómicos, y los momentos llenos de ternura. El Opening y el Endign están también a la altura, son pegajosos y van muy bien con la estética del anime.
Looking at it a little more analytically after these years, I can notice that the series can sometimes repeat itself a little in the formula of "the problematic situation where Takeo solves everything", although the execution is well done, due to the personality of this character it doesn't feel forced, but I do think that they repeat it a little more than necessary. And well, another thing is what I told you in the beginning, for some it may be too sweet or cloying, but if you don't have problems with this, and on the contrary you want to see a romance with explosions of tenderness, here it is for you.
It's an escape from typical romance stories, to a world where innocent love is the protagonist... the relationship between Takeo and Rinko develops very organically, there are no unnecessary dramas, it's a simple and effective romance. It's a pleasure to see these characters grow together, and to understand how unknown love is for them, to love someone.... I consider this anime a gem of the romance genre, I'm sure shoujo fans will love it, or probably already know it. It's a story that shows you kindness, and friendship in an interesting and cute way. I give it a rating of 8.5/10. If you want a sincere love story, you should surely give it a chance. Viéndolo un poco más analítico luego de estos años, puedo notar que la serie a veces puede repetirse un poco en la fórmula de "la situación problemática donde Takeo lo resuelve todo", aunque la ejecución esté bien hecha, debido a la personalidad de este personaje no se siente forzado, pero si creo que la repiten un poco más de lo necesario. Y bueno, otra cosa es lo que les dije en un principio, para algunos puede ser demasiado dulce o empalagosa, pero si no tienes problemas con esto, y al contrario quieres ver un romance con explosiones de ternura, aquí está para ti.
Es un escape a las típicas historias románticas, a un mundo donde el amor inocente es el protagonista.. la relación entre Takeo y Rinko se desarrolla de manera muy orgánica, no hay dramas innecesarios, es un romance simple y efectivo. Es un placer ver a estos personajes crecer juntos, y entender lo desconocido que es para ellos el amor, el querer a alguien.. Considero a este anime una joyita del género romance, estoy seguro que a los fanáticos o fanáticas del shoujo les encantará, o probablemente ya lo conocen. Es una historia que te muestra la bondad, y la amistad de una forma interesante y bonita. Le doy una calificación de 8.5/10.
