Prime Video unveils new preview of Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon a Time movie

Neon Genesis Evangelion fans will be in for a treat during the summer of 2021: the SVoD Prime Video service is about to make a lot of happy among these ranks with a very busy schedule next August, with the arrival of the Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy - and especially of the last film of the Evangelion saga : 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon a Time released last March in Japan

Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon a Time is the final chapter in the Rebuild of Evangelion film series reinterpreting the story, plot and ending of the Neon Genesis Evangelio n anime . Headed by Hideaki Anno in tandem with Kazuya Tsurumaki, this last film will mark the fourth and last part of this tetralogy which includes Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone released in 2009, Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance in 2011 and finally Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo in 2016.

Outstanding performance in Japan

Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon a Time has proven to be a huge hit in theaters in Japan since its release last March, having passed the ten billion yen mark in revenue (over 76 million euros) and surpassing 6.5 million viewers - a most impressive record for an animated film.

This short preview is taken from the first minutes of the film and allows us to discover the introductory sequence including the credits of the film, but also the first visuals of the characters expected in this film. Obviously, those who have not yet discovered the previous films in the series are invited to refrain from taking a look at the video - on pain of falling into pure spoiler.
