Hace unos meses mi hermana me regalo una cuenta de Netflix y empecé a ver unas cuantas series para pasar el rato, como vi que Death Note estaba disponible, lo vi, ya que me había propuesto a ver este anime algún día. Cuando comencé a ver anime estaba muy enfocada en ciertos géneros y Death note no encajaba en ninguno de ellos por lo que hasta ahora nunca le había dado una oportunidad. When I first started watching anime I was very focused on certain genres and Death note didn't fit into any of them so until now I had never given it a chance. Plus you can't live within the anime community for almost a decade without hearing more than once what a masterpiece this anime is.
For starters the atmosphere of this anime is so gothic, I love it! the essence of Death Note is that it's basically a crime thriller that pits two geniuses of questionable morality against each other in a strategic combat whose goal is to unmask the other with a supernatural element in the background. The interesting thing about this anime is watching the moves of each side and seeing how they counteract each other, generating tension in the viewer.
As for the characters there is not much to say, they were all written to fulfill a role in this story, as if they were chess pieces, so there are very few times when you can dig into them in a personal way. Even so, I will give my opinion of the most outstanding ones.

Light Yagami/Kira. Uno de los personajes más listos e icónicos del anime, y un bastardo psicópata!! No lo odio como personaje, pero si lo conociera en la vida real le daría una patada en donde no le brilla el sol. Es arrogante, narcisista y un hipócrita que se cree un dios, son contadas las veces que se le ve genuinamente preocupado por alguien más que no es el mismo, y no tiene ningún reparo en manipular o asesinar aquellos a su alrededor para lograr lo que él cree que es un "mundo perfecto".
Seré honesta podría haber dejado pasar varias cosas de lo anterior si su plan y su visión del mundo fueran otras, puede que si hubiera visto este anime cuando era más joven hubiera podido apoyar a light, pero ahora siendo consciente de varias cosas me doy cuenta de lo mal que estaba el plan de light y el horrible mundo que hubiera creado.

Realmente me llegaba a irritar mucho su estupidez.
Near y Mello. No odio a estos dos, como muchos del fandom, pero ellos nunca podrán reemplazar a L. hubiera preferido que hubieran tenido su historia aparte con su propio enemigo a vencer.

A la final Death Note es un anime que se encargó de sacar tantas emociones de mí y puedo ver por qué es uno de los animes más populares de todos los tiempos.
