Hello anime enjoyers on hive, hope you guys are doing good.

Yesterday I went one of the biggest anime expo arranged in my country. It wasn’t all that fancy though, there were kids who wore these amazing homemade cosmetics, people who have in a lot of effort in their costume to those who spent a good amount on their cosplay.

It was an amazing experience to say the least and looking forward to the next one. It wasn’t my first anime fest though, I attended an even larger one that was conducted in the ICCB hall back in 2016 or 2017 I forgot the exact year. The ICCB is located near Bashundhara r/a, 300 feet road.

En route to the Venue

The function started at 12 pm. It was a Friday so my friend and I had to complete the obligatory Juma’a prayer at the mosque. I contacted him at 2 pm, the moment I reached home. Asked him to get out by 2:30 pm and I myself set out of home by 2:20, my phone charge was at 100%. We got a local transport(CNG) and set out at 2:45 pm ish. My phone charge was down to 68%.

There were already loads of people present by the entrance of the place. The inside was also equally filled.

There was a free poster and a badge giveaway that came with the ticket. Although most people were upset with what they got, I was happy with mine. There were posters of Naruto, one piece, dbz, demon slayer, Jjk, Aot; basically the mainstream ones. Can you guess what I got? Tell me in the comment section below!

The Merch

• Inosuke’s action figure.

• Kunai, there were shuriken right next to it too.

• The whole party of demon slayer corps.

• A DBS super and Fairy Tail manga.

• More manga. There was a Death Note one, a Chainsaw (forgot the name😛), and more.

• More action figure goodies.

• The handsome terrorist, Sasuke 💀!

• My friend’s waifu, Nezuko 🌸 .

• One of my waifu, Rem ☺️.

Dio Brando, couldn’t get a clearer pic of him as people were coming in droves and the venue was not that big.

Gaara, Kakashi, Inosuke, Itachi, and a Jojo character.

Nezuko and Tanjiro clothes. There were: Zenitsu, Toman(from Tokyo Revengers), other demon slayer character clothes.

A bunch of other collections. Try and spot another maid character apart from Rem.

The Mugs looked expensive. Ik places where they can make me a customised mug with half as much as they were charging. The badge collection was good. Can you guess which badge I got? Type in the comment section below!

I needed a good bag to take to my Uni. These were stylish but the price🥲.

A good front view of the stall. I gotta say, the owners of this stall were very careful with their Merch placements. Looked good.

The last stall that had the same things except this one had pencils.

There were more stalls that had T-shirts and pants. They came in black or white colors with the anime quotes and images in the middle.

Overview of the Merch

P.s: I didn’t bring much money with me. Only the fare for getting to the venue, lunch, and going back. I could’ve used the lunch money but none of them seemed to be worth it.

• The collection of merch that they had were very good. The only drawback of it all: they were shit expensive.

• The action figures were Tk 950 meaning $10+. After hearing this I didn’t even want to know the prices of the manga and the mugs.

• The first stall that had the shuriken said that it’s price was 400 BDT; it was made of plastic, not even metal.

• The key rings were 100 BDT each, I did need one as I had one. If there was a Batman key ring it wouldve been a different scenario😅.

• But by the end of the program the action figures were down to 400 meaning $4.45. I wanted to take it but I figured that I should ask my friend living abroad to fetch me an original. And, I the fact that I was bound to be hungry after all the mingling.

Anime Cosplayers

The first guy in line: Luffy.

Not an anime character but love the vibes I got from the guy. Miles Morales Spider-Man.

A moody Zero 2. This is also a waifu of mine😊. And, this photo was taken on my friend’s phone. His camera isn’t that good and so the lighting is a bit off.

Me with a cosplayer of Demon Slayer. I don’t know the characters name though.

• The guy in the mask is the ring leader of Squid Games. It was so dark that I couldn’t even get a good pic of the mask. It was a quality cosplay.

With a bit of editing on my phone, this was the closets I could get without ruining the pic. His mask is visible now.

This guy was the overkill. And maybe the one to put the most effort into cosplay than most of the people present here. He had an additional pair of wings that he put on during the performance of the cosplayers’ show later in the day.

Another terrorist/criminal character: Eren Yeager. The dude was cool too.

The hot MC: Ichigo from bleach.

The cute girl from Demon Slayer, Nezuko. She was pretty in person 😌.

I might be wrong here but I think this is the character from “My Hero Academia”. Nemuri Kayama aka Midnight. The lady who gives off fragrant scent from her body, who could enlarge in size.

An Itachi cosplayer. His eyes were blood red but it couldn’t be seen vividly here😔.

• Suzuya Juzo, the female version from Tokyo Ghoul.

A whole lot of characters together. You can spot Shoto Todoroki.

I found this character to be the hottest. This might be from Nier Automation.

Reai from Evangelian and Yor aka “Ibara Hime”/ “Thorn Princess”.

Gaming Competition!!

There was also a gaming opportunities for the people present there. Some were challenging their own friends at the game to see who was truly the best.

Live Performances!!

As soon as I got into the place I saw that some were singing their respective anime songs. It wasn’t half bad.

A character from Genshin Impact. I haven’t played the game but people seemed to be hyped about it.

This lady danced in the Monogatary theme song.

The group of the Genshin game. They performed a small dance and went away.

• The amazing group of cosplayers from the Attack On Titan. They put on a fight scene and it was somewhat good. Not that they messed up or anything but they were a bit clumsy.

I am not sure which anime this guy is hailing from but he got a loud shout of cheering from the crowd.

Personally, this guy portraying the character outdid himself. Not only did he perform an astounding performance in the fight scene that he has with the anime’s villain he also performed a solo sword wielding act. His gear and clothes were tiptop. If this was a competition he would’ve taken the trophy home.

Lastly, as all the characters finished their performance there was a photo session of all the participants/cosplayers.

Fan Arts

There were a beautiful collection of art that were drawn by the people. This stall was stationed just beside the Green Room. The green room was where the cosplayers received help for their costumes.

Finishing The Event Early

It was merely 6:30pm ish. My phone charge was down to 1%. We couldn’t witness the competition thought but it was for the better I believe. My friend was getting hungry and my phone was about to die.

Even so I had to take the pic of this beautiful scene.

This was the park that I had visited the time I went to Tokyo Express with friends.

End of the Road

My friend and I mistakenly went to the wrong restaurant. We had to go to Tokyo Kitchen but we ended up at Tokyo Express. This was my fault though. And so, with 1% I used the mobile data and map and went to the correct restaurant. Took 6 minutes as it was relatively close.

We reached the place and we both took ordered the Red Chilli Chicken. The order took about 15 minutes. During that time, my friend and I discussed the program. My phone charge was still down to 1%.

This was taken in my friend’s phone as mine was dead by the time this dish was brought out to us. This was a treat from him. Reason: a treat was overdue on his part.

That was the end of the marvellous day. There is another Aniem fest up around next week. I do plan on visiting that too.
