Greetings!
Since I watched a movie made by Studio Ghibli I instantly became a fan of the studio and Hayao Miyazaki. To date, I have a list of the movies made by Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki and I am planning to watch all of them one by one. And today, I got the chance to watch Howl's Moving Castle and write a review.
Plot
Howl's Moving Castle is a story about a wizard who has his issues and challenges until he meets Sophie, a hatter. Meeting Sophie gave Howl a reason to live and someone to protect.
Warning: Spoilers ahead
Great animation as always
Since it is Studio Ghibli my admiration for their animation is paramount. And Howl's Moving Castle is no exception. The characters are very detailed (as always) and the animation as a whole is very neat one good example is the very first scene, a train.
A scene catches my attention
While still at the beginning of the movie, there's a scene that looks very romantic, check the screenshot below. There are lots of beautiful scenes in most of the animes that I watched but this one is different, it has a romantic vibe in it.
There's a surprise waiting
I never thought that there would be a surprise on this one. For the whole time I thought a character was just cursed it turns out to be a real person, a prince to be exact which was I think the cause of the war (in the movie).
A talking character you wouldn't expect
Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki's works are always out of the ordinary. Another thing that surprises me on this movie is a character that can take (of course because of spells). The character turns out to be not just a talking fire but is part of the story of Howl himself.
Conclusion
All in all Howl's Moving Castle story is very unique. Watching it is very entertaining and makes you wonder how creative the mind of the one who wrote the story is.
Of course, the animation did justice to the story itself. Great story with story animation - a masterpiece.
If you are looking for a movie to what this one is worth watching.
That is all for now guys, catch you up with the next one. Wishing you all safety, good health, and abundance.
