The month of Chess960 started well for me, I didn't expect a second place in the strong field. Since there are 3 more rounds of Chess960 to follow, the ratings of the players will certainly adapt a little. Understanding and following the basic principles of the normal game of chess counts very much in Chess960, theory is as good as nonexistent. In any case, it makes no sense to deal theoretically with the 960 different starting positions. Weak pawns, uncovered pieces and important squares can be identified before the first move. Then develop, castle and attack! (Defending is way too complicated with the short time frame)

Das Schach960 Monat hat für mich gut begonnen, einen zweiten Platz in dem starken Feld hatte ich nicht erwartet. Da noch 3 weitere Runden mit Schach960 folgen, werden sich die Wertungen der Spieler sicherlich noch etwas anpassen. Beim Schach960 zählt das Verständniss und das Beherzigen der Grundprinzipien des normalen Schachspiels sehr viel, Theorie gibt es ja so gut wie nicht. Jedenfalls ist es sinnlos sich mit den 960 verschiedenen Anfangstellungen theoretisch zu beschäftigen. Schwache Bauern, ungedeckte Figuren und wichtige Felder sind vor dem ersten Zug auszumachen. Dann Entwickeln, Rochieren und Angreifen! (Verteidigen ist viel zu kompliziert bei den kurzen Spielzeiten)
