Hi chess fam,
You'll find all the info below, or if you have any questions join my stream at 8 pm on Friday (Berlin Time) and I will help you!
Magnus effect?
Yep you read that right, the Magnus effect is when a player starts to play worse just because he knows that the opponent is better. In my opinion, this happens everywhere, for me an example would be exams. If I know the exam is difficult, I'll find myself very tensed up and I lose my focus during the exam.In the video below, I'm sharing two games. One against @samostically where I lost because of the Magnus effect and the second game is against @giuatt07 where the effect worked on my opponent.
Did I take back first place?
Well, that was my goal...I failed....however, I am now sitting in 2nd place so 1st place next round?History repeats! Just like in Round 3, the last match of the round got me the 9th placement in the tournament, I'm super happy about that. This round though I managed to beserk win my last round! It was an epic game and it's the game that you saw in the video!
Once again everybody I will be live-streaming round 6! As you saw from the video, the Tournament 2 range is having a huge fight next round! Anyone in the top 5 will be able to take that first place now!
