Climbing the ratings in the old reliable Antichess!

I don't know why I always put Niemann on the cover of antichess posts, I find it funny I guess, antichess will speak for itself

Back to my favorite chess variant, while I'm still learning all the secrets of 960 I think I'll stay in my antichess world for the moment, I'm having some good results here

For the newbies, the first one to run out of pieces wins and every time you can capture a piece you have to do it, you don't have another move available, which can be very annoying

and don't underestimate it because there are some tricks on these boards that I'm sure you'll find interesting and who knows, one day you'll play with me!!

good openings

We started with a very unbalanced frontal game, one of those that I still don't control well but I think I feel comfortable facing, many changes already from the start and an uncomfortable position with the pawn up, I have to find out more about that opening but in the end I was able to get the game ahead

COUNT THE MOVES

Nothing is more important in antichess than knowing in advance what number of moves or captures your opponent has and what position you are in once all the smoke clears, in this case I was able to put a key piece in the game like the queen in an uncomfortable space that Then take advantage to take the lead, it is one of the many tricks that abound on the board.

and sometimes that doesn't work, another of the pieces that we have to be careful of is the bishops that will always be easy to threaten because they can spread all over the board, what I recommend is that we let them capture at the beginning of the game or that we limit their range of action as much as possible, in this game my opponent was able to use that and because of that he won the position

I'm not a guy who always learns the first time but I'm learning as I go along, believe me, I do

Time is of the essence in antichess games because most of the time you play with only one minute, most of the time games end or can end in that time, even so it does not take away the fact that many times the clock squeezes us as it happened in this occasion, a complex position where my opponent could not respond before the clock fell.

I hope you are encouraged to try it, I have been playing and learning for a couple of months, if you are in lichess contact me!!
