Two men

"There were 2 men on a train. The two did not know each other, they had never seen each other, nor spoken to each other, they lived in different cities, with different lives. There was a faint resemblance between the two, but it was invisible, hidden through two personalities that were so different from each other as to make the two men equally unique. The only thing these two strangers really had in common was their first and last name: Robert Senter."

"C’erano 2 uomini su un treno. I due non si conoscevano, non si erano mai visti, né parlati, vivevano in città diverse, con vite diverse. Tra i due vi era una flebile somiglianza, che tuttavia risultava invisibile, celata attraverso due personalità talmente differenti tra loro da rendere altrettanto unici i due uomini. L’unica cosa che accomunava davvero questi due sconosciuti erano il nome ed il cognome: Robert Senter."

This is the plot of a short story written by me, about the mysterious meeting of two men, on top of a strange train..

This project was born as a university project: the "task" was to write a story (without any constraint of plot or genre) and to base, on this story, a series of works such as a poster, a book cover, a vinyl etc.. Obviously, each of the works created represents the story in the true sense of the word: in the case of the film, the actors are the two protagonists of the story, as well as other elements such as the director, credits, etc..

Today I want to present the poster I made for this story, showing you the steps I took to reach the final result.
It was a complex work as the story itself is, and it took a lot of time to find a way to bring that complexity in the form of an image.

The keys to reading, however, are multiple, so I leave you the freedom to enjoy and interpret it according to your feelings.

As for the technical realization, the work was done using two different programs: Photoshop and Illustrator. The final result I must say that I was very satisfied. I hope you like it too.
