The hue red makes you feel something; be it it minimal or strong enough to lead you into the extremes of an emotion. The Red Hibiscus in this painting signifies passion, which I translate as the feeling or the romantic energy of two people in love. Enjoy the second installment in the series!
PS: The total number of works in this series would be 3. When the third pice is finished, all 3 would be minted. I’m working on adding an animation to at least 1 of the paintings, so stay tuned! ; )
Process!
I made use of Procreate on an iPad for this piece!
This time around I cleaned up my lines, I wanted to see how I could merge the work flow from Exhale with my usual work flow. It was pretty exciting! After the line art I filled in my colors, and began to layer. At a point I got tired of painting the hair within the confines of the fill layer, so I went beyond! Between painting I made sure that my tonal values were awesome by using a black fill layer which I set to Saturation in the blending modes option. I enjoyed creating this…a lot!
