Cats caught on camera in Granada

Granada is a beautiful Andalucián town in Spain and there is even a shop cat enjoying some scratches from the people passing by. There used to be more stray cats around, but they seem to be as rare as foreign tourists.

Few parks were nice for cat spotting, but they seem to have moved somewhere else. They used to hang around with the local ducks and goose in Parque Frederico Lorca, but not for a few years now.

White cats blend in well with the white houses in Albaicìn, while the black felines can hide in the shadows without a notice. It is an interesting skill to see cats, which won't move.

Stray cats are usually afraid of people, but sometimes they get comfortable enough to get closer. With some food and chilling around, some trust can be built.

It is not usual to see pet cats with collars walking around alone, but it is fun to pet the familiar furry friends going around the barrios. Only the free ex-pets are into petting, what I have witnessed.

One great thing in Spain is, that the felines are offered food and water by the locals, so the life is pretty simple. Everything is close by and not too many people harass them.

One of the two local church cats near Alhambra was well fed, even had an own food dispenser and a big bowl of water. Perhaps there was a memory of me, it was very relaxed even going close by.

Sometimes I put up some short video clips, which the Alphabet corporation algorithm hides pretty well. So at least they get no ad revenue, or just delete the channel, like what has happened to most of my friends.
