It has been 2 years since I last went to Ciudad Guayana, Bolivar state - Venezuela, known as the city of iron, for being a strategic point of several companies, which are responsible for the exploitation and production of minerals such as bauxite, iron, coal, copper, granite and others. And in decades ago, it was said to be one of the best planned cities in Latin America and perhaps the world, and it is as I remember when I was a child, a very attractive and quiet city to live. Although in the last decade, this city has been declining, leaving some vestiges of its past, and other places that can still be appreciated.
Desde hace 2 años, que no iba a Ciudad Guayana, estado Bolívar - Venezuela, conocida como la ciudad del hierro, por ser un punto estratégico de varias empresas, que se encargan en la explotación y producción de minerales, como la bauxita, hierro, carbón, cobre, granito y entre otros. Y en décadas atrás, se decía que era unas de la ciudades mejor planificadas de Latinoámerica y quizás del mundo, y es como lo recuerdo cuando era niño, una ciudad muy atractiva y tranquila para vivir. Aunque en la última decada, esta ciudad ha ido decayendo, dejando así algunos vestigios de su pasado, y otros lugares que aun se pueden apreciar.

As can be seen in the photographs that I present, it is a city that is surrounded by large rivers, as is well known the Orinoco River and the Caroni River, which is why in the early days of the founding of this city, the Macagua dam was built to supply electricity to the city and the state of Bolivar, apart there are other dams, but they are in other locations in the state of Bolivar. But also the Macagua dam was a source of tourism, many people came to appreciate the large gates and the great retaining wall above one of the highways, it was certainly a very striking attraction, which we see in one of the photographs.
Así como se puede apreciar en las fotografías que predento, es una ciudad que esta rodeada de grandes caudales de ríos, como bien es conocido el río Orinoco y el río Caroní, razón por la cual en los inicios de la fundación de esta ciudad, se construyó la represa Macagua, para así abastecer de electricidad a la ciudad y al estado Bolívar, aparte existen otras represas más, pero que estan en otras locaciones del estado Bolívar. Pero también dicha represa de Macagua, era una fuente de turismo, muchas personas venían apreciar las grandes compuertas y el gran muro de contención por encima de una de las autopistas, sin duda era un atractivo muy llamativo, que lo vemos en una de las fotografías.

Besides, in Ciudad Guayana, several natural parks and others were created for the recreation of citizens and tourists, such as the iconic Christmas Park, which has a representative windmill, and is a park dedicated to Christmas, although it is very frequented throughout the year. While natural parks, such as the Llovizna and Cachamay, are very representative parks, where you can appreciate the beauty of large waterfalls and mighty rivers, as well as a variety of species of animals in the area and many types of species of plants and trees.
Aparte, en Ciudad Guayana, se crearon varios parques naturales y otros, para la recreación de los ciudadanos y turistas, como mencionar en el icónico parque de la navidad, que tiene un representativo molino, y es un parque dedicado a la navidad, aunque es muy frecuentado durante todo el año. Mientras que parques naturales, como la Llovizna y el Cachamay, son parques muy representativos, donde se puede apreciar la belleza de grandes caídas de aguas ríos caudalosos, asimismo como se encuentra una gran variedad de especies de animales de la zona y mucho tipos de especies de plantas y árboles.

On the other hand, I must say that you can make a quick tour, to many of these places that I show in the photographs, it will only take between 1 to 2 days, in knowing the most important, as well as visiting very important architectural buildings such as the imposing Orinokia shopping center, the longest in America and the emblematic soccer stadium Cachamay, a place where several international games of great importance were witnessed, and has a capacity of more than 40,000 people.

Por otro lado, debo decir que se puede hacer un recorrido rápido, a muchos de estos lugares que muestro en las fotografías, solo tomará entre 1 a 2 días, en conocer lo más imoortante, así como también visitar edificaciones arquitectónicas muy imoortante como el imponente centro comercial Orinokia, el más largo de América y el emblemático estadio de fútbol Cachamay, lugar donde se presenció varios juegos internacionales de gran importancia, y que tiene una capacidad hasta más de 40000 personas.
