Cerca de la casa tenemos una alargada plazoleta en forma elíptica, donde hay muchos árboles y bancos para sentarse. Últimamente, me han llamado mucho la atención cómo han crecido y se han desarrollado algunas de las raíces de varios árboles que llevan muchos años sembrados allí.
Así que se me ocurrió que esta semana, mi pequeño paseo de los miércoles, estaría dedicado a las raíces de esos árboles y las impresionantes dimensiones que han alcanzado. Algunas son tan gruesas que hasta superan el diámetro de los tallos o troncos.
Esta es una de las raíces que más me impresiona, por su grosor y longitud, parece una inmensa culebra. A veces me divierto caminando por encima y a lo largo de ella. Me gusta porque lo considero un excelente ejercicio para estimular el equilibrio y me traslada a mi niñez.
Acá vemos, como la raíz ha levantado la acera de la plaza e inclusive ha roto parte del asfalto de la vía. Impresionante la fuerza e insistencia que la naturaleza tiene.

Disfruté mucho haciendo estas fotos. Una actividad muy agradable que me hace sentir en sintonía con la naturaleza, la cual no deja de sorprenderme con su inmenso poder y su particular forma de insistir, a pesar de todos los obstáculos, hasta conseguir lo que quiere.

Near the house we have an elongated elliptical-shaped square, where there are many trees and benches to sit on. Lately, I have been struck by how some of the roots of several of the trees that have been planted there for many years have grown and developed.
So it occurred to me that this week, my little Wednesday walk, would be dedicated to the roots of these trees and the impressive dimensions they have reached. Some are so thick that they even exceed the diameter of the stems or trunks.
This is one of the roots that impresses me the most, because of its thickness and length, it looks like a huge snake. Sometimes I have fun walking over it and along it. I like it because I consider it an excellent exercise to stimulate balance and it takes me back to my childhood.
Here we see how the root has lifted the sidewalk of the square and has even broken part of the asphalt of the road. The force and insistence of nature is impressive.

I really enjoyed taking these photos. A very pleasant activity that makes me feel in tune with nature, which never ceases to amaze me with its immense power and its particular way of insisting, despite all obstacles, until it gets what it wants.
