Wednesday Walk, waiting till school closes

This post if for Wednesday walk challenge And Make me Smile Collaboration challenge, initially our collaboration was once a month but due to the popularity of it we have decided to make the collab a weekly thing :)

Last week and this week has been a bit crazy for me, in that the times I had the time and energy to go for a walk it always seemed to be raining, and this week every day either I or my wife have a appointments with Doctors, nothing serious for me just yearly follow ups for me with Dermatologist ( all clear), Eye Check, Vascular Carotid ( neck arteries) and leg scans, then next week I see the Dr for the results, and a visit with my regular Doctor.
I am confident they will all go well, except my regular Dr may nag me a bit for having put on all the weight I lost last year and more, but I will get active again soon and work on that, seems earlier this year I was focusing on getting fit, not just one letter has changed from fit to fat LOL

MY Wife sees the Orthopedic Dr tomorrow finger crossed that goes' well and the healing is going well and she wont need surgery.

And yet again I have started a post with a bit of waffling the walk I am sharing today is one I took the other day when I picked up my grand daughter from school.

I do this often if none of the family can pick her up, starting with a photo of the school from near to where I parked

I should note for this post all the photos are taken with my iPhone and edited in the lightroom mobile app on my phone, most times I go to pick her up I head there about 45 Minutes before school ends for the day, mainly because if I go any later the parking spots on the street are all taken as this next shot shows

And most times I get there find a parking spot and then weather permitting take a walk, two main paths I walk one to Hazelwood Park, and the other and the one I share today in the opposite direction down to the water

but first a shot of the entrance to the school, careful to take it early before any of the students come out, I don't want to be seen as a dirty old man taking photos of school kids

and the road I walk down heading to the water

and it takes me to this spot by the pier, as I was taking these photos with my iphone I thought to myself why don't I bring my camera when I do this walk, so I may well do that next time I pick her up

and you may recognize this spot, its a spot I go to for many of my early morning walks

And a clear sign winter is fast approaching as the Cisco Brewery restaurant team are packing up the outdoor area

Wednesday Walk is a challenge started by me, the idea is to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start. And this is my entry for this week, but first, let me explain the challenge.

This is my post for the Wednesday Walk challenge hosted by myself, let me first explain the guidelines

Try and get out once a week for a short walk, can be from your office, home or anywhere really and walk for a few blocks or a few minutes looking for things to get shots of.

Your walk does not have to be on a Wednesday I just ask if possible to share your walk photos on a Wednesday.

Try and get a few shots not just one

Add a bit of a write up about where you walked

Just one Wednesday Walk tagged post a week

You can look for anything in general or decide on one subject you want to get shots off.

Make a point of looking around and up and see what you can find to get shots of that otherwise you may miss

Do a post with the shots you get on a Wednesday and tag it with #wednesdaywalk, also if you happen to join, please leave a link to your post in a comment on this post and I will try and visit them all, especially if its not one of the first 5 tags or I may miss seeing it .

Following me and re-Hiving the post so more see it would be appreciated but isn't a rule just a suggestion.

I am not strict on these rules and hence why they are called guidelines and not rules

I will try and visit, and upvote all who take part in the Wednesday Walk.
