Today is a beautiful day. I was just lucky! After all, the cyclone brought cold air from the Arctic and it rained all week in the north of Italy. And a lot of snow fell in the Alps.
So, without delay, I rode my bicycle to the railway station to take the train to Noale. The journey takes only 12 minutes. Before the trip, I read on the Internet everything that can be seen in Noale. It turns out that this small municipal town is home to 10 wonderful architectural masterpieces. I'm going to look for them!
One of these masterpieces is Rocca della Tempesta.

Сьогодні чудовий день. Мені просто пощастило! Адже циклон приніс холодне повітря з Арктики і на півночі Італії дощило весь тиждень. А в Альпах випало багато снігу.
Так що я, не зволікаючи, на своєму велосипеді поїхала на залізничну станцію щоб на поїзді доїхати до Ноале. Дорога займає всього 12 хвилин. Перед поїздкою я почитала в інтернеті все, що можна подивитися в Ноале. Виявляється в цьому маленькому муніципальному містечку знаходиться 10 чудових архітектурних шедеврів. Йду їх шукати!
Одним з таких шедеврів є Рокка делла Темпеста.
The settlement arose in this place as early as the 9th century, which is documented. The place had fertile land and agriculture was well developed here. In the Middle Ages, a provincial village began to develop and turn into a city. The city is located almost equidistant from Treviso, Venice and Padua. Almost at the crossroads of all trade routes. It also gave impetus to the development of the city. The city gradually turned into an impregnable fortress with a high wall and many canals. In the middle, on the man-made island, they began to build a castle at the initiative of the ruling, at that time, family of Ezzelino III da Romano. We can see the well-preserved ruins of this Rocca dei Tempesta castle now. The name of the castle comes from the Tempesta family, which completed the castle in 1272. The island on which the castle is located is surrounded by water on all sides, which created an important deterrent barrier during repeated battles. After the subjugation of Noale by the Venetian Republic, the castle housed the military administration, the residence of the lords, a garrison of defense warriors, an armoury, guest rooms, a small church, kitchens, stables, prisons and warehouses.
The territory of the island was used as a cemetery. Yes, precisely after the capture of Italy by Napoleon, from 1819 to 1983. Later, the municipal authorities built a new cemetery, and they decided to rebuild the fortress to be used for cultural purposes.
The annual Palio di Noale festival is held here, with jousting tournaments, medieval reenactments, court shows, battles and duels. The festival takes place on the third Sunday of June and lasts for three days. The festival ends with bright fireworks.

In order to take photos and examine the fortress from all sides, I circled it along the canal. Three towers out of four remained from the fortress. There is no access to the middle. But walking along the road, I could observe life in the water of the canal and on the shore. The variety of animals and birds is amazing. The park near the island is very well maintained. There are benches everywhere where you can sit and relax. You can walk in the park at any time of the year. Everyone will find something to do here. A relaxing walk in peace and quiet. This is what I needed. I sat on a bench in the park and could enjoy a wonderful panorama with the ruins of the castle. I imagined how magnificent this castle was in ancient times. The walled towers of the castle still impress with their height.
From time to time one could hear the loud singing of decorative roosters. I watched how the otters arranged a real battle for a piece of bread. I saw a whole brood of seven small animals playing happily among themselves.
I had great pleasure visiting Noale. Sometimes it is not necessary to travel hundreds of kilometers to see beautiful and unique places.
Although the day has become a little longer, it also flies to the end. It's time for me to go home.

Щоб зробити фотографії і оглянути фортецю з усіх боків я обійшла її кругом вздовж каналу. Від фортеці залишилося три вежі з чотирьох. До середини доступу немає. Але йдучи по дорозі я могла спостерігати за життям у воді каналу та на березі. Різноманіття тварин та птахів вражає. Парк біля острова дуже доглянутий. Тут скрізь є лавочки, де можна посидіти та відпочити. В парку можна гуляти в любу пору року. Тут кожен знайде чим зайнятися. Розслаблююча прогулянка в тишині та спокої. Це те, що було мені потрібне. Я сиділа на лавці в парку і могла насолоджуватись чудовою панорамою з руїнами замку. Я уявляла яким величним був цей замок в сеоедні віки. Стінита вежі замку і зараз справляють враження своєю висотою.
Раз у раз було чути голосисті співи декоративних півників. Я спостерігала як видри влаштували справжню битву за кусок хліба. Я бачила цілий виводок з семи малих звірят, які весело гралися між собою.
Я отримала велике задоволення від відвідування Ноале. Деколи необов'язково долати сотні кілометрів щоб побачити красиві і неповторні місця.
Хоч день став трошки довший, але і він летить до кінця. Пора і мені повертатися додому.
