I am used to insomnia attacks from time to time, the reason why I would stay late at night. Thus, today was different even though I couldn't sleep. It was because the husband and I would see each other after three long years!. Thank you, pandemic 🙄. When? Maybe the moment you are reading this blog of mine, I am already busy spending time with him. So, instead of wasting my time tossing on the bed, I got up, took my laptop, and wrote. What about sharing to you my short walk?
Time check: I shut down my computer desktop at five in the afternoon. My officemates were all teasing me about my incoming month-long vacation, and I appreciate my Boss for allowing me. I just smiled at them while saying don't they dare to disturb me.
As I walked to the elevator, I was torn between to go or not to the salon and pamper myself with a manicure, pedicure; maybe a foot spa.
Several salons were in the nearest mall to my workplace, but I needed to get used to it. So instead, I decided to go to the next one, about twenty minutes away. I am not in a rush, so I opted to walk rather of riding in a taxi.
While waiting for a perfect time to cross the road, as there were a lot of private vehicles, I happened to glance at this tree. It took me a while to figure out what was that thing on the twig.
Is that a honeybee? Here try to look closer!
Is it right? OH, I do hope no one got stung by those bees! However, I was astonished; I didn't expect to see such in the city.
As I continued walking, the amazement I felt was suddenly replaced by sadness.
For this project to be materialized, these trees were cut down. That's the irony of life, sometimes to achieve the success that we want, at some point, we need to sacrifice something important.
Will it rain? As I look the sky, it was gloomy, yet I could also see Mr. Sun peaking though he was about to set.
Did you see those flowers? We call that in our dialect Balayong tree, also known as Golden shower. It usually blooms in the summertime.
The moment I crossed the pedestrian, I stopped for a while and took some photos closely! Know I know why it was called a golden shower.
After a while, going at the Starmall, I could take the route along Lourdes Street, but then I opted to take the other way and get inside the Megamall. I felt hot, so I wanted to feel comfortable while walking. Aside from that, Mother's Day is coming, and I was intrigued by the mall decorations.
Are you excited too?
Here it is!
Some well-known brands have promos and offer for those who want to pamper their Mom's! I don't have a plan to buy, but I couldn't let the day pass without checking. Typical me, nosey, lol!
The flowers used were simple yet elegant, reminds of a special occasions.
What caught my attention was the booth of JoMalone. As you can see, there was a glass box decorated with flowers. It looks nice outside, but I appreciate it more when I am inside. There was a four-corned mirror where you could take some reflection selfies.
Just like, what was this lady doing? Me? Of course, I want to try too!
It took me a while to figure out a perfect angle 😄. Hey, did you notice my Crochet earrings? It was beautiful and perfect for summer. I got this last Hiveph meet-up as a souvenir. What's more, this was made by our fellow Hivian @Jonalyn2020.
Oh no, much for the selfies; I already consume a lot of time. I hurriedly went out. My destination is just a few more walks away. I just needed to cross that overpass.
I'd been used to walking this days, so this didn't bother me, unlike when I kept sitting in a corner.
Yet, before anything else, not only once I feel scared, and overthinking because of this building! It looked like it will fell and crashed into me anytime!
I know, just the design and people behind this were amazing. It was just me.
Do you agree with me?
Oh no, I better hurry up to be done early! I still need to pack my things at home. Today is a typical day, so there is no road congestion.
That ends my short walk, and happy Wednesday!
This is my contribution to Wednesday's walk by @tattoodjay in collaboration with @elizacheng to make me smile.
Did I made you smile?
