How are you hive friends, hope you are well. Sharing experience at the Ciletuh Geopark with friends from one Community unit,on Sunday Oktober 6,2024. My group and I used an elf car type rental vehicle with 19 passengers.
To get to Ciletuh Geopark there were several alternative route. I went to Ciletuh Geopark location using the route from Sukabumi city- Bagbagan Palabuhanratu - Simpenan- Kiara dua- Waluran- Ciemas village - Tamanjaya village-Ciwaru village-Sodong waterfall - Palangpang beach.
A distance of around 128 kilometers, this route does not have steep slopes and is a long route. The group departed from the city of Sukabumi, west Java at around 5 am. The Ciletuh - palabuhanratu Geopark has an area of around 1.261 square kilometers covering 74 villages.
Several years ago the Ciletuh-Palabuhanratu Geopark was designates as a UNESCO global Geopark. My group and I visited several Geopark such as Panenjoan, Sodong waterfall, Palangpang beach due to limited, not all places were visited.
The first place we visited was Panenjoan in Tamanjaya village, this place is the gate way to seeing natural theater views, in this place I took natural picture and took pictures with my group.
From the Panenjoan place, I continued to the second location namely the Sodong waterfall area. Before walking to see the Sodong waterfall, the group first hand lunch with a traditional Sundanese menu called Nasi timbel red rice wrapped in banana leaves.

To enter this area, visitor pay a ticket of 12.000,-($0.78), Sodong waterfall located in Ciwaru village Ciemas Sub-district. Sodong waterfall looks like the water volume is small, information from local resident is that the area here has not had rain for three months.
Mango trees are planted around the parking area, this area is quite famous for producing mango fruit. There are several building as complementary facilities the building architecture uses traditional roof shapes.
palangpang beach
Located not far from Sodong waterfall, the Palangpang beach area is designet as the main location for beach tourism in the Geopark area. The beach is planted with short coconut trees as shade plants.
