Buwakan Ni Alejandra is a picturesque flower garden located in Sitio Bunga Gaas, Balamban, Cebu, Philippines.
The literal translation of it's name, "Buwakan ni Alejandra" is "Alejandra's Flower Garden". The name Buwakan ni Alejandra (Alejandra's Flower Garden) was derived from the Visayan word "buwakan" which means "flower garden" and "Alejandra" which is the name of the owner's mother. The name was given in honor of their mother's love for flowers.
It is my first time to visit the place and I am still at so much awe after seeing all the beautiful sceneries and after walking around the massive flower garden.
Buwakan Ni Alejandra is very easy to locate because it is just located on the highway, with it's huge signages, you can easily identify that you have already reached the place.
But to be very sure, you can use Google Map or Waze for you not to be lost if it is you first time to visit the place, or you can ask the locals around, they are all very friendly and welcoming.
In the area you will see a lot of pine trees. Pine trees belong to the conifer family. Conifer are plants that bear cones and needle-like leaves.
I love to see all the pine trees because it feels like we are in Baguio, and not to mention, the weather is so cold out here in Balamban, you might want to bring your own jacket.
Like any other establishments, you have to pay first before you can enter. The time we went here, it was at 9:00 in the morning, therefore, it was not that crowded and not much people are in line.
Buwakan Ni Alejandra opens at 7:00am and closes at 5:00 pm.
After paying, they will be giving you wristbands as as sign that you have already paid the entrance fee.

We then went inside and I just could not wait to discover the entire garden!
Heads up, Buwakan Ni Alejandra is a 700-square-meter garden it is much better to wear shoes while walking around for better comfort.

Upon entering Buwakan Ni Alejandra, this is the first spot you will see. A view of the garden which will indeed make you more enthusiastic to walk around knowing you will be finding a whole lot more of picturesque spots.
I walked around the garden to discover the place and looked around the unique and wide array of flora all over the place. It is indeed heaven for all plant lovers and us who are picture-taking enthusiasts because every part of the garden is just worthy to be taken a photo of.
Walking around is enjoyable since the weather is cold and it was a bit windy, you can also hear the sound of the chirping birds which makes your walk extra special.
What a breath-taking view here at Buwakan Ni Alejandra, every flowers and plants are very-well arranged and it really felt magical walking around here.
The garden is a perfect spot to relax and unwind with family and loved ones while walking around, it is a place where you can really reconnect with nature, take a moment to pause and appreciate the beauty of the world.
BUWAKAN NI ALEJANDRA'S RAINBOW WALK
I really love to see rainbows because
rainbows are biblical symbolisms of God's promise after the flood, signifying hope, trust and faithfulness throughout the Scriptures.
I love the vibrant colors of their famous rainbow walk which is a famous photo-taking site, what makes it more special is seeing the 360 view of the garden while walking around their rainbow walk.
I love moments like these indeed, days where I get to relax, reconnect with nature, forget about work and focus on the beautiful sight of the area and get to appreciate what nature really has to offer.

I just love how neatly and organized the flowers and plants are all arranged. It gives more emphasis to the tourists and locals. It is indeed a place you should visit.
You can strike a pose with your lover or your family and friends here at the heart-shaped flowers which can be seen at the middle of the garden.

We did not missed the chance to take a photograph in this spot which is one of the most famous spots in the garden - showcasing the garden name and the wide array of flowers in the area.
I remember my Science teacher waybalk high school when she told us that studies have shown that simply gazing at flowers can lower cortisol levels, which are these pesky hormones responsible for stress. I firmly agree to that now.
As I immersed myself in the beauty of these flowers at Buwakan Ni Alejandra, the world worries seem to fade into the background, leaving me feeling more at ease and relaxed.
Although I am not a fan of gardening, seeing this beautiful work of art made me appreciate gardening in another whole level.
How amazing are the gardeners and landscapers who did all of the work as it really turned out to be an enchanted garden, the "Buwakan Ni Alejandra".
As we walked around the garden, we saw a lot more spots that we took photos of. This part is probably one of my most favorite spots since you could clearly see the mountains. The view is really surreal and it will make you appreciate life even more.
The moment I started teaching at Tuburan National High School as a Senior High School Teacher I, it is undeniable that I go through a lot of stress at work since it is still my first year in teaching and I am still adjusting. That is why I make sure to give some time for days like these- just pure relaxation, for me to unwind and feel at ease.
