While I'm having a little holiday staying at a friend's house, I had a walk on Bournemouth beach. Even though it was a lovely morning, there weren't many people about.
They have some lovely beach huts down here. They cost a pretty penny but they are very useful when you want to spend time on the sands.
The beaches here are wonderful. They are amongst some of the best in Europe. They have also been ranked first with visitors on Tripadviser for 2023.
The pooch had a great time going in and out of the water. He's a proper sea dog! The only problem is, he gets sand in his mouth, and then he starts chewing it! I don't think he understands what it is.
As soon as I went to take a photo of the surfers, they all came out of the sea. Bad timing or what?!
We finally made our way down to the pier, which has some great views across the bay. You can see the Isle of White on the other side, which is a ferry boat away, and also the Isle of Purbeck which I've been lucky enough to visit. The pier also has lots of attractions going off throughout the summer.
After coaxing the dog out of the sea, we made our way back home.
