Hi there, everyone in the Wednesday walk Community everywhere around the world.
I hope youβre enjoying your Wednesday walk as much as I did Mine a couple of weeks ago and thanks to @tattoodjay for creating this wonderful community for me to be able to share a tiny part of Australia's natural beauty and history with you.
I have been absent from here for a few months unfortunately and if you click here, you will find out why. @chocolatescorpi/the-passing-of-a-local-legend-my-wonderful-warm-caring-compassion-and-hilarious-dad
I was lucky enough to have a couple of days out as I drove back between Bega and Melbourne, so Indy Jean and I decided that we would go to a place called Buchan [//]:# (!pinmapple -37.49292 lat 148.16550 long Buchan Caves Reserve Campground d3scr) for the first time in our lives, as mum often said that she would love to go, but unfortunately she never made it before she died 6.5years ago, so Indy Jean and I took the opportunity and camped there for a couple of nights.
This is the Buchan Valley driving down towards the tiny village to the Caves.
These are my photo's, stylised in photoshop!
The turn off into Buchan Caves
This is our first night there in photos and you can see it is an absolutely stunning little place full of gorgeous colourful trees which you can see more of here in #TreeTuesday @chocolatescorpi/three-hues-for-tree-tuesday
Here's my little traveling companion. This is Indy Jean
It is an immaculate campsite with a communal camp kitchen, lots of barbecues and picnic tables, dotted around the place, powered and unpowered campsites, playgrounds, a pool that is fed by an underground stream coming out from the actual Buchan Caves.
A historic house you can stay in and many other things to entertain while youβre there, from mountain hiking to Animals and then the actual Buchan Caves themselves.
I hope you enjoy this visual tour of our first afternoon at Buchan Caves Campground.
We did but unfortunately it was wet, windy, rainy and cold- especially the second day, but I was able to get out and about to see some more of the beautiful grounds managed by Parks Victoria and their awesome staff and volunteers.

A really well maintained and very clean toilet/shower block with excellent water pressure from the showers and boy did I need those hot showers!
Even a playground heaven for the kids- and their parents
This is the view from our tent
And these are our neighbours.
Sneaky little devils, stealing Indy's dinner like that!
And then trying to steal mine!
And heβs a sneak peek of next weeks Wednesday walk! π±
Thank you so much for reading my post , I really hope that you enjoyed it and look forward to your comments and thoughts.
