The Shift Movie Review

Today was a super busy work day. Each day as we get closer to the new year we get busier. I hope that it's not going to be too crazy, but that may be wishful thinking.

Saturday Jeff and I went to see a movie called The Shift. I was intrigued by the movie because it was produced by Angel Studios, an independent producer. They use a unique approach at growing the viewership by allowing you to pay it forward and purchase a movie for someone else to be able to see the movie free. They also offer reduced priced tickets online. We went to the local theater and payed full price.

The movie was based off of the concept found in the Old Testament book of Job. Job was a righteous man according to scripture, but Satan (the devil) approached God and accused Job of loving God only because God blessed, protected and prospered him.

The protagonist was a married man who suffered a separation from his beloved wife in a sci-fi act of "shifting" which is performed by the antagonist who work on behalf of "the Benefactor" who is the representative of the devil in this movie. The protagonist suffers a series of setbacks and develops a serious illness. I won't spoil the movie, but I will say I enjoyed it. It was PG13 and there was no sex scenes or foul language to have to endure, but the plot was interesting and compelling.

Today is Burn Alive day in Alive Tribe. I had issues seeing my post in Freewriters to promote a post, so I had written this for a second post to promote.
