Happy Friday friends! This was a short week because of Labor Day weekend, Botox injections, and a volunteer day in Erie, PA. I worked two days: Wednesday and today. Monday I traveled home from Orlando Airport, returning home from a weekend trip to Ocala, Florida.
Thursday I took the day off of work to receive my thirty-two injections of Botox. I drove to Erie afterwards to get the replacement lenses for my eyeglasses. I had scratches on both lenses. I'm glad that my vision coverage includes insurance for damage replacement.
Yesterday I woke up to a phone reminder for the volunteer day I scheduled a couple of months ago to help set up for the marathon my employer helps to sponsor called Beast on the Bay. I enjoyed being off of work, but it was a hot and humid day to do some of the setup needed. I ate lunch at a local Applebee's. I love the restaurant's appetizer chicken wonton tacos. I ordered this appetizer for lunch and it filled my stomach. My feet and back complained loudly later in the day from the physical exertion. On a good note, we were done by 2:00 p.m. and I reached home after 3:00 p.m. We will still get paid for a full day but worked five hours.
Today I worked my normal shift. I'm still mentoring a new representative. Today she took calls for the first half of the shift and I logged in for the second half of our shift to take calls until quitting time arrived at 4:30 p.m. My trainee is doing well. Yesterday and Tuesday she said that she observed a different representative. She is happy to have me as her tutor because she feels she learns well from me. That made me feel accomplished as a mentor.
Towards day's end, I began experiencing a migraine once more. I treated it with a couple of medications, but it remains stubborn.
After work my husband wanted to take me to dinner. We went to a local restaurant that serves good meals. I enjoyed the food, but the noise was hard on my migraine.
We are home and Jeff is watching an old movie called Vegas while I write this. Jeff has watched the movie Vegas many times, but he loves it. One reason he loves the movie is because it was filmed in old-style Vegas. He says the city has changed too much from when his family traveled there from Colorado.
I'm still fighting this migraine so I'm signing off for now. Tomorrow is a scheduled pedicure that I look forward to receiving.
I'm alive and thriving this Friday. Thank you for reading!
