Welcome to Thursday, well, we are already finishing the day, but it is still today. As I said in yesterday's log, we have #electrical #problems at home, my brother managed to diagnose that the power phase (or line, depending on the country in which it is named) had the 110V that should arrive, but there was abnormal behavior in the neutral that came from the post, so the electrical service could not work at all. The solution that he managed to give to the problem today, after we returned from a necessary trip to the city to do various tasks and purchases, was a solution that can be considered a VERY temporary measure, waiting for the electric company to send a crew to check the pole wiring.
You see, in an electrical installation, you have the power or line #cables and the neutral that comes from the distribution poles of the electrical service, already in our house or premises, we have to connect the electrical devices to a ground as a safety measure. In this particular case, in which the neutral is failing (for unknown reasons), a way out that is possible, but it is like war field medicine (one thing that cannot be done as a permanent solution), is to disconnect the #neutral that coming from the post, leave the live power line in use and then make a ground (large size and extension), either by connecting a coiled cable in a water pipe, an external grating that occupies a large area and has multiple contacts to ground, a metal roof with its metal supports anchored to the ground... In short, a metal body that can conduct the electrical charge to the ground. Now that we have this #ground, we proceed to use it as a "false neutral" in the power supply.
The result? Well, we have electricity in the house, it's not optimal, it doesn't support us connecting many appliances, but it manages to make the computers and the lights work, we also tested the coffee maker, and soon it will be time to try turning off everything else and putting on the kitchen induction electric to see if it works. As I said, this is not a permanent solution, but the initial report of the fault has already been made, we have to wait and see how long it takes for them to come to repair it, and it is better if we can use the electricity in the meantime, because they may come quickly (tomorrow) or it may take several days, and we really don't want to spend days without power.

Bienvenidos al jueves, bueno, ya estamos terminando el día, pero aún es hoy. Como dije en el registro de ayer, tenemos problemas eléctricos en casa, mi hermano logró diagnosticar que la fase de potencia (o línea, según el país en que se nombre) tenía los 110 V que deben llegar, pero había un comportamiento anormal en el neutro que venía del poste, con lo que no podía funcionar para nada el servicio eléctrico. La solución que logró darle al problema hoy, luego de que regresamos de una necesaria salida a la ciudad para hacer varias tareas y compras, fue una solución que se puede considerar una medida MUY temporal, en la espera de que la compañía eléctrica envíe a una cuadrilla a revisar el cableado del poste.
Verás, en una instalación eléctrica, se tiene los cables de #potencia o línea y el #neutral que viene de los postes de distribución del servicio eléctrico, ya en nuestra casa o local, tenemos que conectar los aparatos eléctricos a una tierra como medida de seguridad. En este caso particular, en que el neutro está fallando (por causas que desconocemos), una salida que es posible, pero es como medicina de campo de guerra (una cosa que no se puede hacer como solución permanente), es desconectar el neutro que viene del poste, dejar en uso la línea viva de energía y luego realizar una tierra (de gran tamaño y extensión), ya sea conectando un cable arrollado en una tubería de agua, un enrejado externo que ocupe una gran área y tenga múltiples contactos a tierra, un techo de metal con sus soportes metálicos anclados en tierra... En fin, un cuerpo de metal que pueda conducir la carga eléctrica a #tierra. Ahora que tenemos esta tierra, se procede a usarla como un "falso neutro" en la alimentación eléctrica.
¿El resultado? Bueno, tenemos electricidad en la casa, no es lo óptimo y no soporta que conectemos muchos electrodomésticos, pero logra hacer que las computadoras y las luminarias funcionen, también probamos la cafetera y ya dentro de poco tocará probar apagando todo lo demás y poniendo la concina eléctrica de inducción para ver si funciona. Como dije, esto no es una solución permanente, pero ya se realizó el reporte inicial de la falla, toca esperar y ver cuanto tiempo toma que vengan a repararlo y es mejor si podemos usar la electricidad mientras tanto, porque puede que vengan rápido (mañana) o puede que tomen varios días y de verdad que no queremos pasar días sin electricidad.

Esto de las reparaciones en casa ha sido más intenso que el salir a comprar o a retirar cosas en oficinas, en fin, en este día de #triplete, porque es el día 888 desde que se anunció la #cuarentena en #Venezuela por la #pandemia de #Covid19, se puede decir que está terminando mucho mejor de como comenzó y eso es algo excelente para decir de cualquier día que sea.
