Today is Independence Day in Venezuela. On this date, in 1810, the act of independence was signed by the seven provinces that made up what was the former Captaincy General of Venezuela, under the Spanish empire. Although the pre-independence movements had been going on for little more than a decade, and Napoleon's invasion of the Iberian Peninsula had weakened the possibilities of control over the colonies, the truth is that the economically dominant class of Creoles in # Venezuela at that time, the Mantuanos (white natives of America, owners of large extensions of land, some with military, administrative or nobility titles), began all this in a much more discreet way, initially declaring a Conservative Board of the Rights of the King, later that excuse was put aside, and it was shown that the interest was to achieve a government of its own, where imperial tutelage was put aside and the benefits of government were managed in the hands of the dominant economic classes in the same country.
The fight for ideals sounds very nice, but it is somewhat unbelievable, in short, that the interests and desire for power is something very necessary to administer a command coup that allows a revolt to start and an armed movement that takes control existing power and transform it into something new. This may sound somewhat cynical, but without a real interest in the reward, it is unlikely that people risk their lives, no matter how beautiful an ideal sounds, very material rewards are needed to move the masses and achieve the objectives.
By the way, reviewing on this day 844 since the #Quarantine was announced for the #COVID-19 #Pandemic (which is still with us), this is the third time that we celebrate this day in these pandemic conditions, I would very much like it to stop next year we are not in this condition. Now, I noticed through the notices of different publications that the people of the #Google search engine had released a #Doodle allusive to this date in Venezuela and when I checked it I found it to be a very nice detail.

Hoy es el Día de la Independencia en Venezuela. En esta fecha, en 1810, se firmó el acta de independencia por parte de las siete provincias que conformaban lo que era la antigua Capitanía General de Venezuela, bajo el imperio Español. Si bien los movimientos pre-independentistas habían venido ocurriendo desde hacía poco más de una década, y la invasión de Napoleón a la Península Ibérica habían debilitado las posibilidades de control sobre las colonias, lo cierto es que la clase económicamente dominante de los criollos en #Venezuela de entonces, los Mantuanos (Blancos nativos de América, propietarios de grandes extensiones de tierras, algunos con títulos militares, administrativos o nobiliarios), comenzaron todo esto de una manera mucho más discreta, declarando en un principio una Junta Conservadora de los Derechos del Rey, ya luego fue que se dejó de lado esa excusa y se mostró que el interés era lograr un gobierno propio, en donde se dejara de lado la tutela imperial y se lograra reunir los beneficios de gobierno en las manos de las clases económicas dominantes en el mismo país.
La lucha por los ideales suena muy bonito, pero es algo poco creíble, en fin, que los intereses y el deseo de poder es algo muy necesario para administrar un golpe de mando que permita dar inicio a una revuelta y a un movimiento armado que tome el poder existente y lo trasforme en algo nuevo. Esto puede sonar algo cínico, pero sin verdadero interés por la recompensa, es poco creíble que la gente arriesgue su vida, por muy bonito que suene un ideal, se necesitan recompensas muy materiales para lograr mover las masas y alcanzar los objetivos.
Por cierto, revisando en este día 844 desde que se anunció la #Cuartentena por la #Pandemia de #Covid19 (que aún nos acompaña), esta es la tercera vez que celebramos este día en estas condiciones de pandemia, me gustaría mucho que ya para el próximo año no estemos en esta condición. Ahora, me fijé por los avisos de diferentes publicaciones que la gente del motor de Búsqueda de #Google había sacado un #Doodle alusivo a esta fecha de Venezuela y al revisar lo encontré como un detalle muy bonito.

Well, in my case, it was a quiet Tuesday, I didn't leave the house, but that's something usual, I heard in the distance the military planes that must be flying over as part of the military activities to commemorate the day, and I heard a little of radio and television network transmission, but I turned all that off and dedicated myself more to personal things at home. Actually, I'm not very festive spirit for these things. I wish you well and that we can read each other another time.

Bueno, para mi caso, fue un día martes tranquilo, no salí de casa, pero eso es algo usual, escuché a lo lejos pasar los aviones militares que deben estar sobrevolando como parte de las actividades militares para conmemorar el día, y escuché un poco de la trasmisión en cadena de radio y televisión, pero apague todo eso y me dediqué más a cosas personales en casa. En realidad no soy de espíritu muy festivo para estas cosas. Te deseo que tú estés bien y que nos podamos leer en otra oportunidad.
