Amazingly we were able to use all the previous deer apples for apple sauce, today we returned to the orchard for six more bags of apples.
We packed up the whole family and drove about 45 minutes to the orchard. It was a nice drive.
When we arrived, we found three bags for sale, but thankfully there were plenty more in the back. We bought 6 bags all together.
They kindly loaded up the trailer with all six bags. Each bag is about 20 lbs, so we're bringing home 120 lbs of apples!
That's going to make a LOT of applesauce.
This should last us all year or more. What a blessing! Having an apple orchard so close is an amazing thing.
