So as our family grows, we are out-growing our vehicle. Since it's very expensive to invest in a new van, we began looking around for different bus options.
So we purchased a bus! It's a shuttle bus from 1999, v10, less than 100K miles on it, excellent condition, 14 seats, lots of space. It's clean and no major problems that we know of.
Our plan is to redesign the inside a bit, move some seats, add some places for cargo. But that's all for the future.
For now, I'm glad to have gotten insurance (trickier that I anticipated), made the transaction, transferred the title and got plates and tabs. And managed to make it through Detroit traffic back home in the big vehicle.
A Special Surprise
When the children got into the bus, they had a special surprise waiting for them - bags filled with special school supplies! They were so excited!
This bus was used for an adult supervision service and had many accommodations for wheelchairs, but we can use all that extra space for our gear!
We are excited about the purchase and look forward to driving it and modding it, to meet our family's needs.
