The Passing of Great-Grandma Turner

There's a saying that goes "death is a part of life". And it's true, we'd rather not talk about it, we'd rather not be exposed to it, but as my friend says "none of us are getting out of here alive". That doesn't mean we shouldn't be grateful for every moment we enjoy with others and grieve when they are gone.

We cherish every moment of time with our loved ones.

My grandma died peacefully in her sleep last night, no signs of distress, and with family. The timing is amazing and miraculous - family had been working hard getting VA benefits to cover all her time in the hospital and rehab, she was just approved to go back to her apartment, her neck brace was taken off and she was off of her oxygen.

She was just getting used to her new scooter and was enjoying time back in her space - normal sounds, sights and environment.

After the close call in the ER and intensive care, then rehab, she was on track for a full recovery. But everyone has their time. My prayer for her was that she could enjoy her 101st birthday (April 8th) and view the eclipse (also April 8th). But most of all, I prayed that whatever her time was, that she would be at peace. All the prayers were answered, she was at peace and she enjoyed her final days surrounded with family.

Knowing this, helps me to be at peace. I miss her already and the idea that she is gone and we cannot visit anymore is difficult and saddening. But there is so much to be grateful for. She enjoyed a long life, many friends, many conversations, much love and her final days were home with family surrounding her.

She lived a blessed life.

Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin

We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.

No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13

Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny

Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations.

Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books. I am an affiliate for Libertas Publishing, your purchase will help our family grow financially.
