Tribe Update
So as I have promised here is the full details for the recent updates in regards to our burning contest, staking contest and tipping bot.
Burning Contest
In our last burning contest I shared about an update to keep the tickets, and promised to get back with more details, Alive Chat August 15, 2023 - Daily Prize Drawing CLOSED For Entries - Today's Topic: ALIVE Burning Contest - Weekly Prize Drawing.
And this is what I shared in the post about it.
Note: Next week we will make some updates, @noctury came with the idea to keep the tickets from one week to the next, so based on this then accounts that have not won will keep their tickets until they win, plus we will also reserve 1 spot among the winners to the account with the current highest amount of tickets, more details will follow.
That is the general description of how our burning contest will work, and below is now the full worked out details.
- We will have 3 random winners in the weekly prize drawing, the tickets used for this are the tickets that they have earned by burning ALIVE during the past week since the last burning contest was made.
- We will have 1 winner based on who has the most accumulated tickets, meaning tickets from the past week and back through the previous weeks, as they keep the tickets from one week to the next until they win.
- All winners, both random and with the most tickets have all their tickets reset to zero when winning.
- The random drawing takes place before the winner with the most tickets is determined, and those random winners have their tickets reset to zero right away, so no double winners are possible.
- If 2 or more accounts end up with the most tickets then the winner is determined among them based on their usernames, those who don't win are likely to be in the top the following week.
So that is the details, and it is made to motivate people to keep burning as they will win sooner or later if they do, and happy burning everyone!
This update takes effect tomorrow Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
Staking Contest
I also shared an update to the rewards structure of our weekly staking contest the last time it was made, #AliveOnThursday Staking Contest - Prizes Of 500 ALIVE Tokens Plus ALIVEM Worth 500 ALIVE Tokens - August 17, 2023.
And this is what was shared about it.
Next week we will have a new rewards structure for the groups, it's important that people are motivated to stake more, and therefore a fixed 500 ALIVE tokens and ALIVEM worth 500 ALIVE tokens is not fully ideal.
The new rewards structure will be that the rewards are related to how many ALIVE tokens are staked for each group.
For Group 1 this means that the total rewards are equal to the amount of ALIVE staked on a 1:1 basis, and the max reward will be capped at 500 ALIVE tokens to not let it get out of hand.
For Group 2 this means that the rewards will be ALIVEM worth the amount of ALIVE they have staked divided by 10, so 10% the value of what they have staked, and to not put too much restraint in here then this one will be capped at a value of 1000 ALIVE tokens, so potentially up to the double of what it is now.
This rewards structure is hopefully more motivating, and more related to the effort put in, all else remains equal to what it is now.
I think that this is clear enough on the details, so I will not dive deeper into it, just making sure that everyone knows about it by sharing it here in this update post.
There is one more update regarding our staking contest though, I will officially move it to Friday afternoon, my local time, trying to make it on Thursdays has been too much of a hit and miss as I lack the time to push through the night if it gets too late on Thursday night, I can do that on Friday nights however, so Friday's just works a lot better for me, and we will rename it to #AliveOnFriday instead.
These updates will start from Friday, August 25, 2023.
Tipping Bot
As you might have already noticed the comment from our tipping bot has been updated.
First of all there is now a space between the @ and the username of the account sending the tip, and this is to not get too many notifications as the account sending the tip will not have a mention any more, only a reply.
Secondly I also included the details for the prizes we give out in Alive Chat on a daily basis, and I hope it will attract a few more people to our chat that way.
