Since the invention of electronic television by a 21year old P.T. FARNSWORTH in 1927, as time passed people were able to watch live matches in the comfort of their homes. But a country in the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan did not use television, until the inhabitants complained that they can not watch 1998 world cup. The authorities then introduced television in 1999.
The inhabitants of Brutan are already addicted to Hollywood movies and India soap operas. Television has replaced some of the activities people do for fun.
Television can fill the mind with strange things that is happening in the outside world, and may create a desire that cannot be satisfied due to economic situation of people.
