My wife’s Chinese calligraphy class

My niece is a government social worker in Taiwan. Her main responsibility is to prepare activities and educational for low income or families that are having trouble.

So she asked my wife to teach a Chinese calligraphy class. My wife isn’t a professional, but she was willing to help.

So my wife practiced and researched different techniques. The picture above is a painting style using the same brush and ink. She thought the people attending might also like to have some fun. It’s easier than the complex Chinese that Taiwan uses.

Taiwan still uses the traditional Chinese that has been used since ancient times. It is extremely different from China. They simplified the writing style under chairman Mao. Lucky, Taiwan separated before that. However, China is always threatening reunification. Anyway…

I think my wife did a great job. It was too bad not many people showed up.
